Yup. I turn 18 tomorrow.
So, I don't know what I've gotton for my birthday yet, but I'll tide you guys over with the awesome stuff I got over the summer.
First of all, I won an auction on eBay. Got an Eminem action that they stopped making about four years ago. Out of the three they made, the one I got is the cutest one.
On my vacation, the souvenir I got was a replica of the 8 Mile Road sign. Didn't know they made those. And, it's a nice metal sign, not a flimsy plastic one.

In late August, I got a brand new computer. The one I previously had wasn't mine to begin with, and it was so old it ran on Windows 98.
On this new one, I have the amazing capability of playing music and using the 'net at the same time. Couldn't do that on the old one. Here's the new one:

And, this is really bitchin'. Satellite TV reception in my room. See, to my discovery when we came back home from vacation, the cable company took away a bunch of channels. All I had left were local channels, PBS, shopping channels, Spanish channels, and both C-SPAN's. Fun.
So, Dad ordered a new DirectTV reciever complete with DVR for the living room, and the old receiver went to my room. This didn't happen until a week after school started, but this year I go to school for only a short time and have little work to do, so I have plenty of time to enjoy it.

I don't know what I'm doing yet. >__>;

don't give a boring color by the numbers/fill in the blanks speech. Think of a person or experience has had a significant effect on you, and just talk about it like you're chilling with some friends. Don't even worry about going off-topic.

However, if you lived in Britain, you gained that right (along with the right to slowly kill yourself smoke) two years ago and can drink all you want! 😀 Although to be fair if you lived in Britain you would have a started drinking a long time ago anyway.

Well, I got an opal ring from my parents for my birthday. Mom says that an 18th birthday gift should be one that lasts.
After school (I got out at 10 that day), we went out to lunch, went shopping, and I spent a ton of money.
I got three DVD's--Hustle & Flow, Get Rich or Die Tryin', and Monster House.
Also got three CD's-- Snoop Dogg - "Rhythym and Gangsta", Run-D.M.C. - "Raising Hell", and Public Enemy - "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back".
I was going to get Monster House when I bought Over the Hedge last Friday, but Target was all sold out of the widescreen version. When we went shopping yesterday at a different Target, they were sold out of both versions. I checked again a little later and they restocked, but only in fullscreen. I ended up getting it at Best Buy.
I haven't done my speech yet. In class, I was panicing, and...um...yeah. >__<;
Next, I plan on buying a really big-ass CD binder, because my 92-holding one has now ran out of space.
I got two cakes. =D One chocolate, one lemon. No candles, though.
I planned on having some for an afternoon snack today, but I'm having white chocolate M&M's instead. I've always hoped they'd make those some day, and I'm glad they did.
Speaking of which, Eminem said that he thinks K-Fed is a loser. I thought to myself, EVERYONE thinks K-Fed is a loser. To check that, is there anyone here who doesn't think so?
Let's put it this way: even this wrestler "loves" him so much.

Well, I gave the speech today.
I gave it in the principal's office (he's my English teacher) to him, and two other ladies.
He said I did very well. They all laughed when I pulled out Eminem's greatest hits album and said I thought the cover was terrible and the one I designed a couple years earlier was better. They were impressed by my other visual aids, too.
I selected "A"...my speech was on my artistic abilities.
Afterwards, I went out to the car and Dad had bad news for me. It was time to get my blood taken again.
We went to the lab, and the guy there said the wait would be over an hour, so we left to do it another day. =D
