So I'm at work Saturday night.
Mom walks up, hands me the key to her car and tells me my car's getting its A/C fixed, so I'd be driving her car home.
For those of you who dont' know, my car is a 1989 Dodge Aries with less than 60,000 miles on it. Its air conditioner hasn't worked since we cut the A/C belt three years ago (one of the wheels in the A/C wobbled and made the belt smoke). So this, this is very good news to me.
I didn't know the half of it.
Perhaps I should say the Aries WAS my car (still my first car), as when I got out to the car later that night, I find a card taped to the steering wheel. Inside the card was written, very clearly, that my mom's 2006 Corrolla was now MY 2006 Corrolla. Turns out Mom and Dad had been talking about getting me a new car for a few months now, and when the 2006 clearance sales started, they went looking, couldn't find any decent cars (read; all the dealerships were out of Yarises and had Scions), decided to get ANOTHER Corrolla and give me hers. The ter mused is used loosely; the thing only has 8000 miles and is still under warranty.
So yeah. I now have a 2006 gold-colored Toyota Corrolla. I'll be moving my stuff from the Aries to my new Corrolla either Monday or some other time this week.
Whoa.
Nice work there Cy. You have to post some pics of you posing with the new vehicle of sexay-ness.
That's pretty cool, Cy.
The Corolla's a pretty decent car, too.

Congrats on your new car.
