Hello MoFo'ers. I don't post here all too often, but I am curious, is everyone seeing Pirates: At World's End? More importantly, is everyone getting in appropriate uniform for the event and let's say, engaging in the Pirates most favored drink beforehand? (if you are legally allowed to do so in your country and state, of course)
I am proud to say that I, and my trusted crew, are indeed doing all of the above. While some may disagree with the consumption of the drink, I can assure you that I personally am a very considerate cinema goer, and I will not be ruining the experience for other patrons.
Bottom line, who is amped up for this film?
i'm definately going with my friends, although not in costume. 
I didn't see the 2nd movie, so no I won't see this one. ever.

My pirate costume and I'll actually be at a LRP event from Thursday afternoon until Monday evening, but I'll be catching up with the film ASAP afterwards. 🙂
I'm seeing Thurday at 8, my mom's already preordered the tickets. =D

Boston IS going to Pirates tonight, but at 8, not 9. Had to order another ticket online, but I can get a refund for the first one... Or I might try to sell it to some desperate sod for $10 :3
Just came back from seeing it. I effing loved it. I didn't like the 2nd one that much, so I was pretty skeptical of this one. However, I loved this one more than the 1st and 2nd. Kinda confusing at first, but then you get what's happening later on.
OMG... OMFG... IT WAS AMAZING!
I must say two things:
Midget Cannon
and
ROCK LOBSTERS!
Oh, and STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS... There is a scene at the end of the movie that you will regret missing. Trust me =)
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I LOVED the guitar in "Parlay"... reminded me of Halo... and Kill Bill <3
Spoilers (Select To Read): HOLY SCHEISSEN!!!! Yeah, I found out this morning that there was an extra scene after the credits! It had something to do with 10 years later? Apparently Will comes back and meets his...son, I think?
Spoilers (Select To Read): Yes... It was totally unexpected... And touching... During the credits, I saw the part of "Young Will" listed and was like 'wtf?'... I understood later =)
I KNEW I should have waited for the credits to end. T_T
But I had already watched 10 minutes of credits rolling and needed desperately to go to the bathroom AND catch my train on time (or wait one additional hour, which I did NOT want to do). This particularly pisses me off as it regarded the one part in the film that left me quite sad actually...
Well, it was awesome. Really. The right balance of badass action and romance and character development.

SPARROW KILLS DUMBLEDORE
Oh it was good, but 1 still trumps it for me. This was absolutly bloody fantastic, don't get me wrong, but a good deal seemed a little forced and too over the top.
A certain scene should have been left at "This is not the time!"
However the detail in everything is astonishing. I want the five barreled flintlock one faceless background pirate carries <3
loved the movie, didn't know about the extra scene though. anyone care to elaborate further?
Spoilers (Select To Read): It is as Shadic said. 10 years later flashes on the screen, and we see this young boy standing on the cliffs singing a pirate song. Elizabeth walks up next to him and takes him in her arms. GREEN FLASH... And there is the Dutchman, with Will standing in the crow's nest, smiling. Twas very touching
well i guess i'll have to go see it again just for that scene then! (doesn't bother me at all)
I'd like to point out a blooper at the beginning:
The little boy who starts to sing has braces!
Btw, I'm also going to see it again, though with my cousin this time. As soon as she finishes her exams..
A pointless sequel to a sub-par film series, oh yes. I would love to see it!
No. It isn't a good movie series, but I suppose thats all my opinion.
The $$$ seems to disagree with you =)... Along with the Spiderman 3 and the Shrek 3 haters...

Yeah, but most people don't pay to see really bad movies...
With the shape entertainment on some ends is these days, I question that at times.
On the contrary, paying to see bad films is exactly what most people do.
