Blah blah, not on time, blah blah. You know the drill. Here ew go.
1. The first time I did this, I asked whether people preferred science fiction or fantasy. I was surprised that on a forum filled with people who are fans of a talking hedgehogs that science fiction was the far and away winner. Anyway, leading into this question, if you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
2. Same side, different coin. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
3. It's an age old question among nerds. It's been addressed both canonically and fanonically, and now it's going to be answerred MoFoically. I picked two comics out of my collection to get to this question, so here ew go. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
4. I never understood when people use generic descriptor terms regarding environmental regions. Like "I'm going on vacation to the mountains." or "We went to the beach this summer." Just because in my experinece no two areas are the same. Throwing that tangent out the window completely, what's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
1) Big Robots with Chain Gun hands.
2) Either flying or teleportation.
3) Batman, because he would find Spiderman's weakness and exploit it. But afterwards Stan Lee would kick Batman in the groin. So it would be all right in the end.
4) I suppose I quite like forests.
5) Edit: Actually No.
1) If I could have personal use of anything sci-fi, it would be an Arwing. Most definitely. 'Cause darn it, those plane thingies are cool and versatile! You could use them as a plane, but they can fly through space, travel between planets... And of course, something to generate enough power to propel me across the galaxy(ies?). That would be amazing beyond words.
2) If I could have anything from fantasy? Flying on a broomstick, hands-freaking-down. Screw everything else, I want to fly!
3) Since I don't know too much about either? Bat vs. Spider. Bat is (usually) bigger can eat spider in one chomp. Spider can poison and kill bat in its stomach as a last hurrah. Spider wins. :3
4) Rolling plains with occasional forests. The only way I can really describe it is by saying "Camp Freeland Leslie", where there's a lot of trees, but more clearings and farm fields surrounding it. But yeah. I love the solitude and sense of perspective that an open plain can give you, with hills breaking the landscape a little bit for variety. :3
5) It wanted to get away from your face! OOOOHHH.
I'm done :3
~Shadowed Spirit Sage
1. If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be? - Teleporter, a-go-go, babyah! Kitty wanna be with Trishie.
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be? - Flying? I dunno. TELEPORTATION A-GO-GO, BABYAH!
3. I picked two comics out of my collection to get to this question, so here ew go. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman? - Spidey. He has super powers. Bruce doesn't.
4. What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? - Forests.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road? - To find the kitchen sink.
1. There are so many choices to make. I think I'll go with the Ideon Gun, until I think of something better.
2. I don't know.
3. Batman would win, since he probably has a contingency plan to defeat Superman.
4. I don't know, though beaches aren't my thing.
5. To catch and kill the chicken for a meal.
1. if you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be? Hmm. Teleporter or laser cannon...Let's go with teleporter, saves precious time.
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be? maybe ESP and levitation.
3. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman? Spiderman I guess.
4. what's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Wide open plains are cool, but I prefer forests. They're more interesting, and you never know what lurks in a forest.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road? To avoid the group of intimidating looking bathrooms walking in it's direction.
1) Time Travelling device.
2) ESP.
3) Spider-man.
4) Forests.
5) Mang what.
1) The Holodeck LOL. Srsly, teleporters, a la Craigles.
2) Premonition.
3) Spider-man. Batman only has gadgets.
4) The desert or a busy city. Maybe I should move to SoCal. I sort of hate forests, they make me claustraphobic (but buildings don't for some reason). Wide open spaces are the best. I also like the ocean, but dislike mountains and hills.
5) No.
1. If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
A gravity rifle. Watch stuff fly!
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
I'd want to be telepathic.
3. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
Spiderman, because he's younger and more talented.
4. What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in?
Foresty-region... Or maybe somewhere that's cold year-round. Tundra?
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Because the chicken is dyslexic.
I'd get either a) a robot bodyguard friend a la Meca Hanasaki so I can have her beat the crap out of muggers and also give me clothing advice and have her cadre of robotic helpers cook me breakfast, or b) a HAL-like machine. That would be fun to play with.
2. Same side, different coin. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Shapeshifting, hands down. I could do everything everyone has said in this thread just by changing my form.
3. It's an age old question among nerds. It's been addressed both canonically and fanonically, and now it's going to be answerred MoFoically. I picked two comics out of my collection to get to this question, so here ew go. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
Batman, hands down. Spiderman can't fight his way out of a paper bag most of the time, and he's got spider senses.
Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
A cold forest.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Because the chicken got run over?
1. The Time Machine Delorean. Hell yeah!
2. Elemental magic, BABYEH. Or talking with animals. Either one is good.
3. Batman. I'm probably saying this because I'm a Batman girl, but come on, I don't take Spider-Man having superpowers an excuse that he'll kick the crap out of Batman. Batman's surrounded by superpowered dudes all the durn time, chances are, he'll think of some plan to waste Spidey (this is just from my limited knowledge of the Marvel universe, so sorry if I miscalculated anything).
4. I really don't have one.
5. It left it's missing sink on the other side, of course.
1.) A suit of MJOLNIR armor? *shot
Being more serious, probably either transportation/teleportation/WHOOSH I'M OVER THERE NOW technology, or the Star Trek replicator. The ability to walk over to a wall and have food appear as soon as I ask for it would be spiffy.
2.) I really have no idea, the only fantasy thing I've really paid attention to would be the Lord of the Rings movies. Do whooshy zappy wizard powers count?
3.) Batman FTW.
4.) Usually a beach type area, there's a place I always like to go camping at near the beach on the coast of WA.
5.) ...because it was following the chicken?
1. Steam-powered giant robots, just to look cool.
2. Lightning Powers.
3. Batman because Spiderman is teh suck.
4. Mountains because I DON'T KNOW :
5. BECAUSE IT WAS STAPLED TO THE CHICKEN *ba-dum-psssh*
(Note: I am a huge nerd because of this answer)
1. Time-travel.
2. Time-travel.
3. I would. o.o
4. lolz, vacation whut? Anyway, city?
5. DUDE FOOD AWESOME N__N
1. & 2. Whatever grants me immortality and the most power, so I can acquire the other powers indirectly. Shapeshifting and time travel are the most likely candidates, other than pure powergamer like MANIPULATE TIME AND SPACE.
3. Spider-Man because he's cooler, and I will write an explanation. They seem evenly matched, except Batman depends on stealth and l33t ninja skillz, but Spider-Man has spider sense to counteract that. Spider-Man defeats random thugs like filler opponents, while Batman's main enemies don't have a whole lot of powers, either.
4. Amusement park.
5. To cook the chicken.
Ummm...wow, I swear that is a genuine typo. I wasn't trying to be cute or silly...okay, I was trying to be cute and silly, but not by writing "kitchen" instead of "chicken". That's what I get for doing these things at 4am I guess.

Anyway, leading into this question, if you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
A duplicator. That way, I could duplicate food and money and I'd be set for life.
Quote:
If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Teleportation. It'd save a heck of a lot of time and save money on gas.

Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
Let me just say, I have nothing but respect for Batman because he does his job very well for someone who doesn't have any special abilities. But if I had to decide, I'd say Spiderman would win because of that reason. Spiderman doesn't have to rely on gadgets.

What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in?
Definitely forests. I've grown up surrounded by one and I love being close to nature.
Quote:
Why did the kitchen cross the road?
To get to the lovely little dining room on the other side.
Ummm...wow, I swear that is a genuine typo. I wasn't trying to be cute or silly...okay, I was trying to be cute and silly, but not by writing "kitchen" instead of "chicken". That's what I get for doing these things at 4am I guess.
Kitchen questions make for more interesting answers than chicen questions. Keep it as kitchen. 😀
1. Um... spaceships. like the big ones in star wars. i can live without lazers if im able to soar through space.
2. To fly... TO FLY! or be able to shoot arrows dead on over a mile or something.
3. Um... batman, because he's... batman.
4. Either the midwest USA or the Caribbean.
5. because it had to go to the bathroom?
1) Lightsaber... People aren't afraid of "laser guns", so people are forced to use them. But lightsabers need no demonstration. ( to whoever gets that reference).
2) Ability to slow/stop time. Why? It negates a lot of other powers... Super speed? Ya can't run when time is frozen!
3) Batman...Because...um...He's Batman? I guess just based on the fact I've been a fan of the series much longer than Spidey.
4) Forest
5) CAUSE DATZ WHER DA WOMAN WAZ!
1) I'd probably opt for nano-robots. Gaining the ability to manipulate objects with unseen forces is quite fun, and applies across medical, social and military applications.
2) The Will and the Word - about the most flexible but potentially potent system of magic I've come across. With fertile imagination, decent intelligence and sufficient strength of will, the world is your oyster
3) A tougher match-up than most. Both are above-average intelligence, and Spiderman's "spidey-sense" counters Batman's tendency to employ surprise attacks/appear out of nowhere. That said, in spite of having less strength, Batman is probably technically the better hand-to-hand combatant, so would probably prevail so long as he keeps clear of webbing.
4) Mountains/hills.
5) Because some stupid town-planner happened to build that road straight through the house. I mean, how inconvenient can you get?
1) Hmm, a tough one, but probably a Timber Wolf Prime battlemech from Classic Battletech/Mechwarrior. Why? #1, they are awesome, and #2 no one would mess with you with that thing in your frotn yard.
2)Another tough one, but probably to be able to fly, because flying owns.
3) Batman, he's stronger and can fly, and seems to be more cunning as well. Plus he has a kickass car.
4) I just love the beach
5) Because the kitchen needed to be transported to the house of course 😛
1. If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
MIBs neuralizer. So youd keep asking me to pick again until I got everything.
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Flight. With wings, not a cape. I dont go in for that.
3. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
Spiderman rips off Batmans mask... and is trounced by the Joker for destroying his mission in life.
4. What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in?
A mountain that is warm (not snow-covered) with waterfalls and lake, some place high to dive into water, lots of nooks and crannies to explore, and plenty of wildlife to photograph: turtles, snakes, butterflies, a flower I never saw before, etc.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
It doesnt matter, the boys in the construction business have taken measures to see that it never happens again.
1. The first time I did this, I asked whether people preferred science fiction or fantasy. I was surprised that on a forum filled with people who are fans of a talking hedgehogs that science fiction was the far and away winner. Anyway, leading into this question, if you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
the Infinite Improbability Drive. with a user's manual and odds calculator.
2. Same side, different coin. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Shapechange.
3. It's an age old question among nerds. It's been addressed both canonically and fanonically, and now it's going to be answerred MoFoically. I picked two comics out of my collection to get to this question, so here ew go. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
Batman.

Just because in my experinece no two areas are the same. Throwing that tangent out the window completely, what's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
Beach or Mountains.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Because the chicken was too lazy to walk into the pan in the kitchen, so the kitchen had to come to it.
1. Err, none. I'm not into science fiction mainly because despite my dependence on it--I'm not a tech fan.
2. Flight ^_^
3. Good question. I'll go with Spidey though because he has more abilities and isn't a slouch when it comes to intelligence.
4. I'll go with a meadow if I have to pick an "outdoorsy" area. Personally, I only like going into parks, like NYC's Central Park. I'm too much of a city/semi-city person to enjoy the outdoors. I don't like water, so beaches and anything near even a small body of water is completely out.
5. It was being installed by the neighbors from across the street of the house it ended up in. ;p
1.If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
Teleportation. Wouldn't it be nice to go anywhere instantly?
2.If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
I've always liked the thought of shape-shifting. I sometimes have the ability to control what goes on in my dreams and then I usually use shape-shifting powers at will.
3.Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
I don't really know about this one because I don't read the comics, but I'd say Spiderman, because once Batman is all tangled up in spider webs there's not much he can do to fight back. Unless a plot device comes to save him or something.
4.What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
I think forests. Because then I feel like a cool explorer kind person.
5.Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Because it was part of a trailer! =D
1. If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
Cyber-fudge.
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Teleportation?
3. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
I guess Spiderman because Batman is just a sad little rich boy under that costume. =)
4. What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
I like open spaces, but also I like forests because you can see some cool stuff in them.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Because it
1) Replecator from Star Trek...create anything you could ever want from thin air!
2) The abillity to make anything I can imagine a reality, no matter what it may be.
3) Batman, because he has more experience and endurance. Spiderman would put up a good fight,, but batman would be able to block most of his attacks and keep going long after Peter Parker had got tired.
4) Bleak, majestic, snow-capped peaks reaching high above the clouds, with forests of evergreens in valleys far below and no sign of Human life clear to the horizon.
5) Not a clue.
1.If you could have personal use of any specific science fiction technology, what would it be?
An Armored Core baby. Fast, bi-pedal style model, with teh 1337 Sniper Rifle. Sexy
2. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
Shapeshifting for the win.
3. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spider-Man?
Spidey. Purely out of fan-boy bias.
4. What's your favorite sort of environmental area to be in? Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.
Anywhere there is a cold breeze and a light rain.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
If I told you, I'd have to kill you.
Hmmm... Maybe a device to attach to my computer that could read my thoughts and translate them onto the screen/page for me. Since I come up with a lot of my most fluid ideas when I'm lying in bed at 3am, that could save me a lot of typing time. 🙂
2. Same side, different coin. If you could have some personal magical ability from a fantasy series, what would it be?
I'd trust an innate ability to teleport rather than some sort of Star Trek-esque mechanical transporter, but definitely teleportation.
I have my reasons - mostly involving people in assorted places who I'd like to see a lot more of.
3. It's an age old question among nerds. It's been addressed both canonically and fanonically, and now it's going to be answerred MoFoically. I picked two comics out of my collection to get to this question, so here ew go. Who would win in a fight between Batman and Spiderman?
That's a tough one.
In terms of raw smarts and experience, the Bat wins hands down, superpowers or no superpowers - precisely because he's got quite so much experience in taking down superhumans.
But Peter's spider-sense would negate most of his primary way of operating: the sneak attack.
Assuming that Bruce could stay clear of the webbing - and he's pretty agile - I'd give the fight to the Bat on the grounds that he's got the greater staying power and the more powerful takedown. Even if he got caught in the webbing, he's bigger, heavier and has more chance of getting loose.
Either one would only need to get lucky once, though.
Mountains? plains? Forests? Beach? etc.?
Probably forests. I don't like heat all that much, so I appreciate somewhere that not only has plenty of wildlife for me to track and watch, but plenty of shade for me to be in in the process.
5. Why did the kitchen cross the road?
Why not?
1. Teleporter...either that or a spaceship like from Star Wars.
2. Hmmm, I'd say flight because I've always had dreams of flying in the air.
3. Personal bias aside, I might have to go with Spidey. Batman is probably the better all around fighter but Spidey isn't a pushover either. And Spidey is used to taking on a huge variety of foes.
4. I'd probably say the top of a mountain but since I live near them, I'd say out in the plains, preferably on Route 66...just have a thing for good ol Americana sometimes.
5. Because you hired a bunch of crackpot laborers who were downing hard liquor and constructed a movable kitchen in their drunken state.
