Hey Everyone.
There's a site which I'm interested in buying some Region 0 DVD's off. At first, I thought "Great, that means it'll work in any region!" as it's stated as "All region , Free Code" (I'm region 2) but now I'm wondering whether or not it means I have to buy a region free DVD player to play it.

Anybody know? Thank You! :thumbsup

I don't think so. A region free DVD player would mean you could play a DVD from any region, a region free DVD should be able to work on a DVD player from any region.

A Region Zero DVD will work on any player.

They're right. Trust me - I own both a region-free player and a handful of region 0 discs.

Besides, all, if not most DVD players can have their region setting reconfigured manually.

Or pick up a program that allows you to watch any region DVD's on your PC. Some of them make you download the files to your hard disk first, others do it on the fly.

I've got a region free DVD player, and I had to look up on the internet on how to set it that way.

My DVD player came with the Region 0 code printed on the side of the box. Win!

You have to be careful when playing region 1 & 4 DVDs in your DVD player, if there from big film companies like Tri-Star and what not the DVD are FULLY locked to that region and will change you DVD players region to what it wants.

You only have about 4 region changes before the DVD player is locked to the last region change.

I know this because I have coped many DVDs of this type so it dont relock my own DVD players (yeh my normal ones do that to me a lot =__= )

Region zero DVD will work in any player be it stand alone or in a pc, and even if the DVD player isnt unlocked they should still play.

If you need to unlock you DVD for any reason try this site first www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/ they will most probably have an unlock procedure or code and if not there may not be one for it =)

If your in the UK just pop into ASDA and get one of there cheep DVD players they seam to work (even though they are really really crap quality now =__= they play any region except the region locked ones)

Hope this helps

Your player's region coding won't change without asking you first.
