I just moved into my dorm here, but I've noticed that my speakers are as such that it's a physical impossibility to place them in the correct positions - ie, I need the cable to connect to the computer via the left side, since that's where the wire hole is, yet that's connected to the RIGHT speaker and is far, far too short to be stretched over to the right side of my computer - which is where my left speaker is, right now. I've been looking around the options for my sound card (an Audigy 2 ZS) but I've noticed absolutely NO reverse stereo option anywhere (the best it can give me is to tell me to "swap the speakers", which is, as stated, physically impossible). Frankly, that's utterly ridiculous. Now, I know most games and so on have a "reverse stereo" option, but there are programs here and there that don't, so I'd like to know if there's ANY way to tell XP overall that my speakers are backwards and I want all stereo flipped.
Or, if you can give me some advice as to where I may find speaker cord extensions so I CAN swap the speakers around properly, or better speakers altogether (this set's pretty old, I swear we were using them with a 486 over a decade ago) that connect to the computer via the left speaker, so much the better.
