In continuing with my "let's fluff up the MFC (within reason)" drive, here's a little gripe I feel like sharing...

In short, my roommate (well, one of them) went home to New Jersey for the weekend. When he comes back? He bears a GameCube. My question: ...why? I already have the Wii here. It IS a GameCube. Why exactly are you bringing a redundant piece of hardware here?

Of course, he wasn't able to bring any software with him (he attempted to bring Melee - which, again, I already brought with me - but couldn't find it, and also tried to bring Mario Kart, but it has the Bonus Disc... and Super Mario Sunshine), so I guess I still have to fill the bill there. But then, he brought the Xbox originally, and given on how popular Halo has been here recently... I guess it's all going to be a moot point. He doesn't really seem to want my Wii hooked up to the TV though - it looks like that if he does anything GC-related, it'll be with the GameCube (and this is still assuming the Xbox is ever NOT hooked up). Man, do I feel screwed over. -_-;

*sigh* I guess this wouldn't be an issue if I wasn't such an introvert?...

Heh, I live with an annoying rich-kid who continually confuses reality and dreams, has a seemingly inverted view on how the world works compared to everyone else, buys random crap he dosn't need and then leaves it lying around in huge obstructing heaps and never washes anything. A whiney farely biggoted goit with louder voiced opinions, repeatedly, on everything from religion to how onions should be cut, than Jeremy Clarkson. A recluse with a sweetcorn obsession and no-cooking-skills-but-still-trying (though can back cakes and stuff o.o) who sulks off for ages and uses more utensils than god.

Of course I'm no diamond myself, I leave rubbish and hairballs everywhere, I wander around in my underpants continually and play music at odd hours in the morning, and wash up at even odder times... And I leave t-shirts and doodles everywhere and my shoes always in the way. And I have a tendancy to horde forks and glasses. So yeah, be glad you don't live with me.

I'm anal about lumpy sugar too.

My roommate is so self centered. I have to keep the lights off when he sleeps but if he wakes up before me, he turns on the light because 'If they're off it'll make him feel sleepy' I mean WTF. You just woke up. You're not gonna feel like you can do 20 laps. He also has this stupid habit of coming in late at night (like 2 in the morning) Therefore, disturbing me from getting decent sleep.

Also, the bastard is just learning how to play the violin. And you know how irritating that can be. I think he just played it because he heard ONE song that featured a violinist.

Also, he plays his Ipod to loud, can't sing, and is basically more annoying than my little brother. (My bro is 15, my roommate is 21) >_>

Mine are sort of the irritating rich kid variety right now, but I'm always at work so I never have to see them.

One is a bit of a know-it-all and the other is a bit passive-aggressive/petty. I also live with thirteen other people who are generally immature.

Why on Earth would he be bringing a GC to school now? Perhaps your school's schedule is different from mine, but we're basically coming to the end of the year and we'll all be moving out over the next three weeks.

My roommates have been fairly easy to get along with. One, however, has the tendency to say the most absolutely idiotic things, but he's a good guy and not as dumb as he seems.

i'm really happy that i've never had to share a room with anyone, the way you do that in america sounds crazy.. you have to live with a stranger and get no privacy, how do you manage to study or to sleep?

so far i've been okay with my flatmates, as generally the only thing i've had to share with them is the kitchen.
then again, living in a housing block with tons of other students is never peaceful, and i did have that problem in my first year where one girl and her freinds from another flat would steal our food and use our plates and etc.

sharing a house with two good freinds has been the best so far, although getting the bills paid on time is a bit of a stress.

I think I must be the annoying roommate! Mine hates most everything I do-- from the laptop to any electronic doodad as they are noisy and pointless (isn't a fan of cell phones, iPods, any videogame = calls 'em "useless entertainment"). She's a vegeatarian and dislikes when I use the dishes as i don't clean them properly so there must still be traces of meat somewhere... I don't really think Ramens have much meat and one rinse cycle oughtta clear it.
The strays I was feeding had to leave the house(I swear I din't know she was alergic! But now that they like me I can't stop feeding them, I just don't let them in anymore. Everybody wins, right?!) Lastly she HATES "muh acksend whert mecks it hard t'undastend whert I been sayin". I think she's kinda fun tho. Which is why I laugh mostly when she starts in on complaints. And partly why I am looking for a new home.
Really tho these problems are largely my own making. She is smart, clean, and pays bills on time. It's just that she's usually in a bad mood and I seem to make it worse. Early days I tried some peace offerings but they fell flat on their face. (bought the wrong detergent, wouldn't eat any of the ice-cream it might have BVGHs... blah blah) Once she started handing me the paper, classifieds circled, I got the message and gave up. Can't make freinds w/ everyone y'know?

Those kinds of people are just impossible to please. If you want to have an iPod, you have every right to. o.o

My freshman year roommate did something with his girlfriend while I was in the room and they thought I was asleep.

Frequently.

Utilize your vast imaginations until you come up with the worst possibility that I wouldn't outright say on a public message board.

That's what they did.
While they thought I was sleeping.
I was originally, but not for long once they started >_<

I can one-up you on that.

During my sophomore year, I lived with three football players in an apartment-style dorm (separate bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen). So one night, I get up to go get a drink with all the lights out. When I open the fridge door, I hear a noise behind me. There, illuminated by the fridge light, is the face of one of my roommates, who is naked and laying on his front on our couch. Directly underneath his face is the face of a girl... and she's laying on her front as well.

I never sat on that couch again.

Oh man. At least in my case it was on a piece of furniture I didn't use.

Don't get me wrong, he was a good guy in all other respects, pretty lucky considering he was my random freshman roommate, neither of us picked to be together...it's just...don't you want some privacy? I know I would

Possible mild language warning... I don't remember.

Here's a tour of my room I did 2 months ago... Couldn't get the damn thing to load on Youtube...

I address some of the oddities of my new roommate... He's 23, and living in the Freshman/Sophomore dorms >>.

He goes to bed at 10:30 every night and demands that any guests get out...

I dun have a roommate yet (Not in college. Accepted into one, but not in it yet. Heh.). What I'm more worried about right now is the food. My univ. was listed as one of the top 5 WORST cafeteria foods in the nation, and meal plans are mandatory for freshmen students...
