I ask because tomorrow morning I'm leaving for Austin and I won't be back until next Tuesday. Yea and I'm too lazy right now to look up a big list of stuff to do in Austin...
Have fun. Come back safe.

Um, all I know about Austin is that former video game developers Origin used to be based there. They made such awesome games as Wing Commander and Ultima, until they were eaten alive by Electronic Arts. Now they no longer exist.
So...yeah....that's all I know about Austin.
Lots!
Of course, go down to sixth street and visit the awesome shops, mexican food (and sushi!) restaurants, bars and meet our local homeless drag queen who always runs for mayor! He'll probably be wandering around.
Barton Springs is another great place, weather permitting. I think it's about $2 to enter. It's a closed off part of the river that everyone goes swimming in. It's huge and a great way to relax on a hot day. The water is really cold.
Visit the capital of Texas. It's a lovely, huge building. You'll be able to easily see it from anyplace downtown. It's the tallest building.
There are some great art museums downtown
There are always protests going on around the capital
Central Market is a great place to spend the day if you want to see food from around the world and try lots of free samples.
Be sure to buy a "Keep Austin Weird" teeshirt and don't get too offended by all of the hippies, they are my friends.
(If you have a car you should drive down to San Antonio, it's about a 2 hour drive if you don't try to take I-35 during rush hour and it's a beautiful place. Palm trees and the riverwalk make for a good evening. The Alamo isn't too far away)
What Stumbleina said! Take pictures of Leslie Cochran, the famous homeless dude. XD Also, Austin is famous for its Mexican food. You HAVE to have some. Barton Springs I would only suggest if it's a really really really hot day, otherwise you'll freeze solid in the water. Take a mask and dive down to the rocky bottom; the water is crystal clear, and you can see tiny little fish swimming in the rock cracks! Don't go to the spot below the dam, because that's where pet dogs are allowed, and there are always way too many of them.
And definitely KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD! Gawd, I love those shirts...
Well I'm at my aunt's house and I got bored so I decided to check out my sites...
I am quite impressed with the University of Texas but DARN...these people love the Longhorns, it's almost sickening (But then WE have the Number one Party School...so...)
It's all good though and Sunday we get to visit San Anton for a day...yay!
