All day today, we've been having "Heavy Thunderstorms" with plenty of lightning and wind. A few cities around were knocked around with hail. Flash-flood watches and warnings have been issued for neighboring counties.

Now, this might seem normal for April, or even May. But October?!

This isn't the first strange weather occurence we've had. A week ago, we had tornado watches and warnings, which is, again, March to June weather. Not in the middle of September.

So! How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Hopefully a lot saner than this o.o Though I dunno, I heard the Southern USA is getting some summer-like heat. Tell me about it 😀

Weather's fairly normal here in western WA I guess. Had some annoyingly summer-like temperatures just shortly after the start of fall, but things are cooling down nicely now. I love cool temperatures. As of this moment it's about 49F outside. And I'm sitting here with my window open. :D

You can say that again...

Up here in Minnesota, it was freakin' hot... We hit 84F. I know a lot of you are going "OMG WTF THAT'S NOT HOT!?!!", so to put it in perspective here's Minnesota's average and record for today. The average temp for today/yesterday is 65F, and let me tell you, the last week or two, that's what it has been. The record was set back in 1953 @ 89F.

I don't mind the heat, but this up and down stuff has got to stop. My body/ allergies can't take it D:

Just as it usually is in Oct/Nov you need a heater in the morning and the A/C in the evenings. That means the overnight lows usually bottom out around 40F and the daytime highs peak around 85F.

The highs are about 95F and the lows are about 75F. No rain for weeks, sunshine every day.

Texas has little variation. Fall in Austin comes around the second week of November.

Here in Mississippi, we normally don't have really cool autumns, but for the first few weeks, we've had temperatures all in the nineties. It finally dropped into the sixties and seventies this past week, but it's starting to rise again.

Anyway, we're supposed to be getting wetter than usual weather because of it. We get some clouds here in my part of SoCal, but so far it's been average heat. Not August's record 113-115F in the shade heat, but still a slight bother.
