How do you people cope with your cops? It seems like they make a living of staying on the highways and picking you off for even a minor infraction. Plus Austin has the strangest street names around...
Oh yea, I'm back but did anyone notice...
"Your" cops? XD
As a matter of fact, there's a small joke around here that you have to be careful of being pulled over for DWY--driving while young. They will pull you over at the slightest provocation. If you look like you're under eighteen, bam. DWY. XD
Wait, but don't cops stay out on the highways all over? Is it really just in Texas that they hide around the corner, wait until you drive by, and then screech out onto the highway with their lights flashing?
How was Austin? =3 Didja see the famous cross-dressing homeless dude?
Nope, the Texas cops seem to really make their presence known. I haven't seen it anywhere else like that except Texas. Austin was cool and I didn't get to see the homeless guy...we were on the northern fringes of Austin in a town called Pfluggerville (Yes I'm serious)...it is hot and muggy down there, I thought I was about to choke (Used to extremely thin air)...of course we also got to see San Antonio and the Riverwalk, that ruled...
the Greyhound did not rule...ack...
Welcome back, torn. And I noticed
I don't live in Texas, so I wouldn't know. Had a good time, then?
WeBa! Hope you had a good time down there.

Hot and muggy? Hot, yeah (unbearably), but muggy? XD My lips get chapped when I go to Austin. If you want muggy, come down to Rockport. It's like a freakin' steam bath.
Nah, didn't mean to make fun of you. ^^ I've heard people complain of the humidity in central Texas before, so I have a conditioned response.
The riverwalk in San Antonio rules. The food was expensive, though, wasn't it? Did you check out the mall? They have a Marble Slab in there! Ice cream...ahhh... Their arcade sucks, though. But it has a DDR machine right in the glass windows, so hey.
I'm glad you had a good time overall. ^^ Did you grab a Keep Austin Weird t-shirt?
Ah but you must remember, I'm from Colorado which is arid dry...any part of Texas seems muggy to me...
And yes the food is expensive but that's why I didn't buy it. That and I didn't have almost any spending money because my job didn't get me my vacation checks before vacation...at least I got lots of pictures...
EDIT: Ack! Sorry Steelbay and AbiJay! Thanks for the welcome back!
*wonders where my manners went*
Who needs Texas cops when you have Walker: Texas Ranger?

Heck, forget Texas. New York's the place to be for your spa-ing and steam bath needs! 😀
When I was in Miami, every Sunday, driving on my way to work on the highway, state troopers like once every mile, with a car pulled over. For who knows what.
This was an every Sunday occasion, for the 5 months I worked at DirecTV. I swear it.
Other than that, over here in IL., there barely be any cops. o.O
