Zakeraith wandered the wilds of Darkshore, searching for the ruins of Amath Aran. He'd been searching for days to no avail. Just as he thought he was getting somewhere, he heard the cry "The Grove of the Ancients is under attack!"

Zakeraith stopped and turned. Part of his homeland was under attack, but from whom?

He turned, not knowing which way to go. Never had he ventured so far out of his home city before. Zakeraith ran! The path to the Grove of the Ancients, where was it?! The hunter did not know! It was then that he met another Night Elf travelling his way. A few directions later and Zakeraith was off and running, his bow clutched tight in his hand, his bo staff slung over his back. He may have been new at this adventuring and hunting business, but that didnt mean he could sit back and do nothing!

As he ran, he saw other Night Elves running alongside, confidence grew in him, he was not alone. And then it happened. There they were. Two large orcs rampaging through he wilds. Battle was joined. Arrows shot ut of no where, Zakeraith took aim and joined in. The orcs brushed them aside with ease and each swing of their deadly weapons cut a young elf down. Zakeraith backed off, but far too slowly, for he caught the end of the club in the head. the world went black.

Colour returned and with it did a splitting headache. Zakeraiths spirit had returned to his body, restoring his life to him. Where were the orcs now!?
"They're attacking Auberdine!" the cry rose up and Zakeraith ran again. Too late though the Night Elf reached the shores.
"They've taken the boats to Darnussus!" Zakeraith saw that the last ship had sailed, he could not afford to wait for another!
"Take the Gryphons and cut them off!" Zakeraith heeded the cry. He dived onto the nearest Gryphons back and took flight. With all luck he could get home in time, perhaps warn the city!

The Gryphon landed and Zakeraith looked around. Was he too late? No, the port was still calm. The elf ran to the portal before a roar cut him short. The orcs had landed!

Battle was rejoined as Zakeraith charged after the attacking horde warriors. Night elf youngsters took up arms at the fearful sight and Darnussian sentinals charged for battle. Battle crys came from the sides as humans and battle hardened elves joined the charge and all ran through the portal to Darnussus.

The fight in the city was swift. Two orcs, despite their power had little hope in taking out the heavily defended city. Darnussus afterall was a city for the newer Night Elves to find their feet. The bigger orc was routed and cut down, the underling dived into the water. Zakeraith watched as the elves stood at the bank and fired their arrows at the orc. He raised his own arrow and loosed his own projectiles.

A scream came from the orc before it stopped moving. Zakeraith blinked. The orc was dead! Cheers came up from the surrounding elves as they departed.

Zakeraith felt a strange sensation running over him. It wasnt adrenaline..no...it was something else. His first kill in the defence of his homeland.

Zakeraith had made his first Honour Kill

There was no time for any formal celebrations however. The battle cry was called out again. "Teldrassil is under attack!"

Fueled by his newly found strength, Zakeraith ran forward to defend his homeland once again!

Okay, was that an interesting read? Hopefully you kept reading and decided not to move this to carnival island = 3

Why did I post this? Well, its been about 3 days since finally got the chance to relax from Univeristy work and actually get back into some recreational activitys just to clear off the mind of depression and the like and what goes along and happens on my third day back into a game?

I get involved in PvP combat for my first time = p

It was an absolute riot last night, never had I enjoyed the game as much as I did. Theres a certain difference when it comes to playing against Real Life people then there is a computer controlled advesary.

But yeah, little old me helped in the defense of his home city and managed to kill one of the enemys! I killed a grunt! Im so proud =^-^=

We now return to your regular insanity = p

Welcome to the real draw of MMORPG's. Group battling. And more over PvP. PvP draws more crowds than a top notch fighting system, fantastic gameplay, and awesome graphics all but together. People WANT to kill each other, especially when their target is one of the more retarded members of our species. There also nothing like saving another players with a last second heal or taunt. :D

The numbers on the City of Heroes servers are starting to increase again as well with the release of Arena's. There are heroes for level 1 to 50 in them. I can only imagine the release of City of Villians. Rumor's out that there will be a set of neutral zones between the area's for PvP between the heroes and villians.

I played WoW for about a month. It would have drawn me in for the PvP, but Lineage 2 was better in that respect. PvP is always the main thing with MMO's. Thats probably why Everquest2 is starting to lose its forward momentum already. SOE kept saying no PvP at all.

I will have to say that for the companies first MMO, Blizzard did an awesome job on WoW. A lot of aspects of WoW are better than more of Sony's games. But Blizzard just can't compete with a MMO juggernaut like NCsoft.

That said, congrats on being in your first raid, I know the feeling of those from halloween and the final beta days of CoH. 50 to 100 heroes dodging around a giant pumpkin headed monster was just awesome.
