I happened to see it tonight at a test screening, and free tickets were given out by my school! Sure it's not all high tech, but it sure does beat the rest of the animated films this year as far as story and originality goes. ^__^ I don't wanna spoil anything for you just yet, but I found myself laughing the whole way through it, and some of the scenes are so cute and charming with those fluffy bunnies! Not to mention there is a bit of sexual humor in it too, which is ingeniously placed in it that even parents can enjoy it as well.
GO SEE IT! O__O
I should be going to see it next week with my Animation class. I can't wait! I've been wanting this ever since A Close Shave...

Howl's Moving Castle? Corpse Bride?
I will be seeing it, though. Despite having had the plot twist ruined for me.
They didn't play Howl's Moving Castle where I lived sadly. ;_;
And I did see Corpse Bride, but it just wasn't as funny or apealling to me as this one. (It had it's good points though with the awesome character design!) I loved the ending with Emily. ^__~
I recently re-watched Chicken Run, the Wallace and Gromit films (as well as Rex the Runt and Pib and Pog) in preparation for the Wallace and Gromit movie. It's sure to be brilliant, but the only question is, will it match the perfection of The Wrong Trousers? There's absolutely nothing I'd change about that film. But if anyone can do it, it's Aardman!
Pure evil.

Yeah, that was a very funny one.

Yep. Seen that one too. That was funny as well.
I can't wait to see this film, it's bound to be good, and funny, like they all are. ^^
Chicken Run rocked! Even the cross-promotions were funny (anyone remember the BK commercials where they urged you to save a chicken, eat a whopper?)
I really love the claymation style. I wish more companies would use it, but can see why it's so rarely done as it's very time-consuming.

I loved that penguin. I remember when he was really nervous and these beads of sweat would roll down his forehead. I have no idea how they did that in claymation.
Sheer genius.

The man has good taste.
I'm seeing it when it comes out.
It really does look funny.
I loved The Wrong Trousers! I always checked it out from my library. I really want to see it, but probably won't get to.

As in today.
Going to see it tomorrow, should be absolutely brilliant.
Gonna try to see it as soon as possible. Wallace and Gromit, Creature Comforts and so on really appeal to me. The way it's animated is simply brilliant.
I don't have much Wallace and Gromit experience, to be honest, but the movie looks good. I love claymation (it is clay, right? Or just really awesome computer-clay-simulation? Seems like not using a computer nowadays is a crime...). And I'm a sucker for British humor.
I'll be seeing this one, one way or another.
it's indeed claymation, they've got entire studios full of the figures and sets if i remember an article on the film correctly.
it means that it's filmed slowly, but it just wouldn't have the same feel if it was clever computer work.
i'll see it as soon as i manage to round up some freinds to go with me. ^^ i've been really looking forward to it.
i'm gonna go see it! by the way, the wrong trousers is a funny wallace and gromit film
i saw it friday, i did laugh at the "may contain nuts" scene.
but i really liked it and encourage anyone to see it.
I too saw it Yesterday.
I will NOT spoil it under ANY circumstances.
Props and sets from the Wallace and Gromit films are believed to have been destroyed in a warehouse blaze.
Fire crews were called to Oscar-winning Aardman Animations' Bristol site, which contained the company's "entire history", a spokesman said.
"Everything has gone, from as far back as Morph and all the way through to Chicken Run, including all the Wallace and Gromit films, Creature Comforts, it's all there. Everyone is devastated."
Oh no.....that's absolutely horrible!
The bitter irony. 🙁
Ech... all that hard work! They lost a lot of real art, there. Shame...
I would just like to say that Ardman DID use CGI in ONE SCENE of the new Walace and Gromit movie...
But most people didnt spot it, which they were thankfull for. apparently it was something they just COULDN'T do with clay...
Im off to see it on friday, should be good
Replying to Craig's comment re the fire:
@t Bristol's expo is still going on - I'd guess the reason Curse of the Wererabbit stuff wasn't in the warehouse is because it's in the expo. And it's going on till February, so you still have a chance.
I never knew Aardman had their warehouse near Temple Meads. It must have been a beautiful building too

"Angry Mob supplies"
😛
A lot of the humor is in the visual gags and signs/captions.

More than one secne, apparantly. They used it for fire, smoke and rabbits tumbling through the air....
Was the scene iwas talking about...
Apparently they DID try to make a rig of floating rabbits suspended by wires but it turned out, quite... horrendous, it was too difficult.
Yes. I am going to see it. I love Wallace and Gromit.

well, clay animation does only go so far.
but seriously, they did an excellent job and only using CGI in one or two scenes is commendable.
I went to see it the other day. It was excellent; didn't disappoint at all. I didn't spot a huge number of references to the other Wallace and Gromit films and Aardman productions, but I loved the ones that were there ("the bounce has gone from his bungee").
"A bullet?"
Film of the year!
Also, according to the back page of this week's Radio Times there'll soon be a new series of Creature Comforts!
