NBC San Diego

SAN DIEGO -- Animal control officers in Hollister, Calif., are a little worried after they received two litters of puppies in the last couple of weeks that show signs of what they consider inbreeding.

Some of the puppies were born with no front legs.

But one little pup doesn't seem to mind at all. She was seen playing with her mom like any other healthy, happy puppy.

With a tail that was constantly wagging, the happy little camper chased her momma and even leaped across the cage onto her momma.

This story has a very happy ending for all the puppies involved. They have all been adopted.

Here are the pictures.

More pictures on the main article.

Now, without further ado...

AWWWWWWWWWW.

I hope they have good owners.

That puppy in the second photo is going to land right on his face.

Also, inbreeding most likely is the cause. My aunt's cats inbreeded once and gave bith to... kitten nuggets... and a head. >->

*sniffs back a tear* I don't care how legless they are, they are SOOOOOOOOOO adorable and I'd adopt one in a heartbeat if my parents were not so dead set about having a furry animal in the house.

I have to wonder whether that means they've been adopted for real, or adopted in the same way your old dog gets taken out to a farm to live. :(

My old dog is really actually living on a farm, though.
I went out there last weekend. ^_^

And besides, if the dogs were just shot, it wouldn't be a 'happy' ending, now would it?

This is going to sound a bit cold, but...
Probably best if they don't try breeding from them.

I sure hope they can make it on their own!

Did you know Li'l Brudder has his own "TV series" now?
