Having a computer problem but I don't know if this topic is supposed to go here or the Gaming Academy...anywho I haven't been able to access Deviantart for a little time. The strange part is that other people have been able to access it but I can't. IE keeps acting like the site is down...which is real strange because it was working fine early that day and then an hour later, it won't work at all. Any suggestions?

Find someone else on your same ISP and see if they can access it. Preferably in the same area as you. It could be a DNS foul-up. If thats the case it should resolve itself within 36 hours.

I was able to connect with my mom's dialup just fine. Hopefully this gets sorted out in the next day or so. If not I'll call Qwest...

i've had no problems with it recently. tried restarting your computer? oddly, that's the only way i can resolve the problem when my computer doesn't want to access any websites.

Tried that. Seems to be only my ISP because my mom's dialup works just fine (Can't really use that because it ties up the phone line)...

Then call the ISP.

..Why would this be in Gaming Academy?

Questions related to problems (mainly software) with a computer should go here.

Questions related to building a computer from scratch, go in the Gaming Academy's computer thread.

Maybe it's the browser. Try, something other than IE like Mozilla or something.

Yeah, all I can reccomend is contacting your Internet Service Provider about the problem.

Did that too. They had no answers. The site should be coming in fine. Tried Micosoft, they said go back to the ISP. Did and no dice...and I ran my virus, spyware and adware scanners. Even disabled and renabled my firewall...
