Apparently someone leaked the first episode of the new season of Family Guy. It's all over some of the Bitorrent sites right now. I've already gotten a copy of it. The encode I have was pretty bad, but it was indeed an "un-aired" episode.

Overall, not too bad. Animation quality is about the same as previous seasons, nothing has changed or altered design-wise, as some feared. VAs are all back, no changes there either. Jokes are just as bad/gaudy/raunchy/delicious/violent as it ever was.

It's like the cancellation never happened. Except, of course, for the stab at FOX in the opening scene regarding said cancellation. I can't believe they forgot Futurama...

You wouldn't mind helping a very overworked/lazy friend by PMing him a link to the torrent you used, would you?

I've had it on my harddrive since early this morning, but not through a torrent, but from a friend of mine.

Honestly its like the show was never gone in the first place and its FREAKING HILARIOUS. Without ruining or spoiling anything I'll say that I was WEAK during the PSA and pretty much all the Brian/Stweie moments. The encode I have is actually pretty darn good.

The animation quality looked the same but if you pay attention to certain things they really have tightened minute details up a bit. That jab at Fox at the beginning gave me the biggest smile. And thankfully they didnt dwell on it either but said what they had to say and got to the story. ^__^

All in all I was DEFINATELY pleased.

I happen to have gotten a pretty durn high quality version. o.o

At any rate, I'm not going to spoil people here, but it is indeed a good episode. I only hope Fox doesn't butcher it too bad.

Excellent. Given that series 3 seemed to be getting a little weak towards the end, I'm glad to hear they haven't run out of ideas yet...

I really need to download this new torrent, if only to see the episode with my own eyes.

Judging from the current reactions I've seen in this thread, this new season of Family Guy should contain the original quality and humor of the seasons before it.

Wow, so refreshing. AND OH SO YUMMY! I'm glad I got this one because I won't be able to catch it opening night. STUPID INVENTORY!!! *kicks store* And I don't have a TiVo, nevermind the fact that everything at my home right now is like halfway packed and will probably be all packed by the time it airs. LAAAAME.

I love the first minute of it though.

SPOILAGE

Peter: "Everybody I got bad news. We got cancelled."
Lois: "Oh no, Peter, how could do they do that?"
Peter: "Well unfortunately Lois, there's no more room on the schedule. We just have to accept the fact that FOX has to make room for more terrific shows like Dark Angel, Tidus, Underclad, Action, That 80's show, Wanderfalls, Fast Lane, Andy Rictor Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The pits, Fire Fly, Get Real, Freaky Links, Wanda at Large, Castello, The Lone Gunman, A Minute With Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, King Eddie, The Street, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Louie, and Greg the Bunny."
Lois: "Is there no hope?"
Peter: "Well I suppose if ALL those shows go down the tube, then we might have a shot!"

XD!!! I LOVES IT!!!

I just downloaded a high-quality rip and screened it on the big plasma at work. Well-recieved were the Blues Brothers reference and the not-so-subtle jabs at Chris Tucker. I also appreciated the return of the greased-up deaf guy and Ollie "IT'S GONNA RAIN!" Williams. The best part, however, was definitely the GI Joe reference with the swelling soundtrack. Every set of eyes in the room just lit up when that guy popped out of bathroom stall.
