As I was listening to it, I KNEW I had heard the song before, but having never played the Duck Tales game couldn't place it for the life of me. That's when it hit me:

I had been playing it on Frets on Fire for months without knowing what it was from. But now I do, and knowing is half the battle.

Oh wow, where to begin... I listen to a lot of this stuff. A lot of what I listen to comes from games I haven't even played or heard the original music, but I like the remixes quite a bit. It's pretty much a safe bet to go with nearly anything my McVaffe, Disco Dan, djpretzel, bLiNd, and SGX, but there's a lot of other great stuff as well.

I also find the lack of "Chemical Juice" - Jivemaster, disturbing.

For anyone still in the Stone Age, Project Chaos has several amazing tracks.

Also, both of the songs here are pretty good. Also from the same remixer.

This guy and This guy (Especially Shattered) are reccomended. Mostly rock and/or rock/techno.

Last, but probably not least, Niiiiinjas.

I've not ventured out of the Sonic remix section of that website, but I concur with those recommendations. I also like the Marble garden and 'drowning theme' remixes. Quirky, but fun!

Hee hee. The issue with that, at least in my case, is that I have trouble deciding what genre some of these tracks fall under. Some are decidedly one specific genre, while others combine more than one, and I some I don't know really. However, most everything I linked to goes to the OCR page for the track, rather than a direct download, so those pages have overviews of the tracks that may give you an idea of the style.

I can note that 'BloodyHell', 'Stained Glass Filth', 'Light in the Fortress', and 'Purple Heart' all feature significant use of electric guitars, if that helps any. All actually played by the remixers as well.
