Not sure where to slap this to be honest. MoFo or here. Probably here but...*lets mods decide*
His name is Toffee. Hes a ginger cat and about 2 years old.
Well if go through the reasons for this...
1. He has fits. He has always had fits, He start to really groom around the groin area and then he rolls around (Not unlike Sonic actually) and then he wets himself. sprays it everywhere. And I'm not sure its wee to be honest.

2. Constantly poos in the house. Now I would understand if we didnt have a broken, constantly open cat flap that he could get through to take a crap and poos by the door as a sign to let him out earlier. But he poos by this hole in the door as a sign of "Meh". Also pees in house.

3. Always eating yet never grows. Constantly begs after being fed. And its not like we've starved him. he has about 1-2 pouches of cat food a day, 2 bowls of milk and scraps of whatever meat we are having.

4. Constantly over grooms himself. Hes bald in patches, Scabby in others. The vet said he is illeric to fleas (i.e he is more itchy) but we havent had fleas for about 3 months now and he still does it.

5. He makes us look bad. Seriously, he looks not unlike those animals on the RSPCA ads. And yet i feel that we (me and dad) treat him well. Like I said hes fed, watered etc. I have tried loving the thing but every time i get remotely attached to him he leaves a fresh one by the door. I know love is meant to be unconditional towards a pet but he pushes me. And I think if a RSPCA officer saw him me and dad would probably be in jail and have Tazz (Half Bull Mastiff and Rottweiler) taken away. I dont beat him or hurt him, I do shout at him when he does somthing wrong. Everytime he does something though i find myself clinching my teeth hard and throwing him outside.

Well there are my reasons for wanting to have him put down.

These are my reasons for not.

1. Hes my sisters pet. Yes. Its complicated really. Mum and sister live in another county where they rent from a person and its no pets allowed. So I'm stuck with him. Well maybe its not so complicated.

2. I'll feel guilty. I mean thats the whole reason for this post. I feel that i have let someone down if I put him down.

So thats it. I wanted to get that off my chest really. Can you guys give me any advice?

I think he should be put down for his own good.
It doesn't sound like he's a healthy cat.

I also don't think this should be in MG.

It sounds like you're seriously contemplating and considering doing all this without even mentioning it to the owner. Or is your sister 5 or something?

- Talk to sis if you haven't already

- Milk is bad for cats{tho right now thats the least of your problems}

- Tried training it to leave its stuff outside? I don't even know if you can do that with cats

- Tried buying a kitty litter?

- If you ask me, I think you should put it down.

Well yes and its just really started pooing in the house since winter came. but its colder in the house than outside.

Meh Kitty litter I think we tried ages ago. He'd poo around the box.

Well Dads overalls (they hung down) were slightly blocking the hole in the door so if he poos inside again we will be seriously considering putting Toffee down.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I'll add un update whenever.

Did you try taking him to the vet and asking them whats wrong? o.o

And how long has this been a problem? Sounds like some kind of urinary track infection...

Well my sister took him to the vet ages ago thats how they found out he was allergic to fleas. (I thought all animals were to be honest) And here we do live a long way away from an expensive vet. And he doesnt like travelling in the car.

Well, from what I can gather your cat may have a neurological or digestional problem. I've seen sveral cats like that - they have no control over themselves or they pee and poo in an odd way. You should definitely see a doctor about it, ASAP.

And lay off the milk. >_>;

I'm really really sorry to say this, but I'ma go with what everybody else said. If your sister's cat's in that kind of pain, the best thing to do would be to put him down.

I speak from experience though, I had a cat who was very similar to the description you gave. It was very sad to watch her decline like that, and so quickly. I dunno how quickly your cat went into the state it's in now, but I'm sure it was similar. **hugs**

It may be difficult, but in the end your cat is just in a lot of pain and ending it all would be a relief to both him and your family (that may sound terrible, I don't mean it to sound like that) Your cat will be out of pain, and I think that's the most important thing ^_^;

**hugs** I'm really sorry though...

Slay the thing. Problem solved. You'll get over it in 2 weeks and probably get one without defects anyways.

Geo's very right. Happens to everyone, really.

Although the approach could have been more tactful...

As I've often said, Geo has the finesse of a drunken hippo.
