Who else watched this show? My family was hooked on it. It's a game show with a sense of humor. Most of the contestants are likable and they kept it campy and exciting at the same time.
I never watched it, what the heck was the point of it anyway? I figured it was just some stunt to bleed more money outta the old man's legacy.

Never even heard of it. Sounds more interesting than "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."
Oh c'mon, you know I'd be into this. Just look at my title.
Millionaire was only fun because it was Regis.

I checked out the full-season rewind on SciFi yesterday and got subsequently distracted from everything else I was supposed to do that day. From the trailers, and the first-episode clipshow it looked to be some kind of Idol-esque nerdgasm, but I was pleasantly surprised at how it developed. I'd seriously consider buying the DVD boxset now.
Hmm, I guess I may have to check it out. I just figured it was another reality TV show, which I never can stomach.
I did not see the whole season (an ep here and there, when I remember and whenever there was nothing on tv and I finished my rounds at the MoFo, etc).
It was not the best show I have seen but I have seen better shows, including those of the same category: reality series.
My offline friend didn't like it and he's into the same stuff.

I mentioned the winner in another thread. I'm not telling you where it is. That is up to you. Winner gets a mystery prize and no cheating! |
My mom and I watched it religiously every Thursday. I was very pleased with who Stan chose as the winner.
I'm not sure if I' going to get the DVD set, but I am definitely getting the first issue of the comic, maybe even two.
I'll put our Tarrant against your Regis anyday.
In a fight to the death, naturally.
On topic, I've seen reports and write ups on this, and it seems to be further evidence that Stan Lee is losing his marbles. I think they were stolen by Stripperella.
*is sad Big Momma lost*
And that's all I'll say on the subject. 🙂
I was actually going for Major Victory to win, but my second choice won so I guess it wasn't all bad. I lvoed the show, and well...the movie is going to be interesting I suppose.
I finally got into it after watching a few reruns here and there and then watched the entire thing cronologically in the marathon right before the ending. Probally the only "reality" show I ever liked/watched. The fun part is how they were all taken out one by one by their various flaws that were layed out by an Oompa Loompa song...wait, it didn't happen that way? My mistake.
I kinda liked that show. My favorite ep had them talking to little kids. I actually thought Momma had the best message (and theme song), tho at that age I woulda voted for Major Victory just cuz he's hansome.
I didn't care for the one punk kid who was all "I don't think any of your powers are real." I'dve told him, "My powers are as real as your friends."
Suffice to say, I do not have the superhero 'tude Stan's looking fer. But Momma she'da been a good choice. Very sweet woman.
Holy bleep, that would be an incredible game show. I'd watch a show with singing Oompa Loompa judges for sure.
Ok, I'm going to have to see this thing now.
