i'm disapointed with the mofo right now. Come on guys where's the "with teeth" topic? Nine inch nails latest album? Does it ring any bells? Are people still living under mountains? :lol

Ok being serious now, what do people think of Trents latest offering? Do we like the new direction? Any favourite songs?

Me? I'm loving every moment of it, from "The hand that feeds" to "right where it belongs" and all the songs (its still not quite as good as "the downward spiral" but hey, thats one of my favourite albums ever and it takes quite a lot of beating). The only complaint i can think of is what teeth?

..i bought myself some muffins today, they were very tasty
? oo;

as i know zero about NIN apart from the t-shirts being very popular with certain social groups of teenagers, i've nothing really to say on the topic other then, 'who do the teeth belong to?'.

Trent reznor of course...

Nine inch Nails are a great industrial band kind of like, well its hard to describe, a more synthy marilyn manson who also do weird piano based songs, sub noisecore sometimes and unique really.

I thought With Teeth was good but compared with Reznor's high standards, it was quite dissapointing. A lot of the songs i just can't remember after hearing them. You Know What You Are? is brilliant however and is up there with his finest songs such as Somewhat Damaged, We're In This Together, Closer, Suck, Head Like A Hole and the infamous Big Man With A Gun!

It got to number 3 in the UK album charts so i was pretty pleased with that. I wish i could see them LOL so i can do Big Man With A Gun kareoke LOL

I like NIN, but i'm not sure i would call them a band. Trent does most of the stuff, he only has "geusts" help him *like dave grohl in "With Teeth"* Not that it matters much, i just think that NIN shouldnt be labeled a band, maybe something more like, "Trent's brainchild"

...how ever like most bands during that time, NIN kinda fell into obscurity after the Alternative era. The only ones I really know are Closer and Hurt. After that, don't know much.

At the same time I haven't been following music for years ar radio sucks, MTV sucks and I hate the RIAA.

I still miss the great alternative days though (mid 90's). I think more great songs came out those few years from any band than any year since.

*Blink* What do you mean "What's wrong with the MoFo"

I've been here coming on 5 years and I don't recall many, if any, new topics about albums which people have bought.

*Shrug*

Still, not my area of expertise, so I'll hide in the Rush Fortified SPA.

As far as I know, the standard NIN line up (don't ask me for names) have joined NIN properly, and if they haven't then what is trent going about in interviews about "the live band becoming real".

And Craig, it has been 5 years since the last NIN album proper, so saying that W"ith teeth has" been eagerly anticipated would be an understatement.

I haven't listened to the album yet, but I've heard about 6 of the tracks on the radio and "Every Day is Exactly the Same" is my favorite song.

Can't say I'm a very big NIN fan, though.

The only NIN track I'd even recognise would be Closer, and I can't say that that ever did anything for me. I always preferred the Weird Al remix.

(Far too many misspent undergraduate Saturday nights in Lancaster's goth/rock club.)

Eew - i wonder how that would go...

I assume the infamous chorus has changed somewhat though right?

I feel like listening to Closer right now actually *runs to i-Pod!*

Will do! I don't mind some Weird Al. Played Armish Paradise down the local pub once and shall be the part of the soundtrack when i go to the Reading festival in August LOL.

Is that the name of the album or the song just out of curiosity?
