Yugi's love life is turning upside down and into a fatal three way

You think'd Yugi has it tough already, first he finds out he's
sharing his body with the sprit of Yami the Pharoh, and that he must
help him rediscove his past and who he is, and that he's also got to
face the winner of the KC Grand Prix for the World Championship, but
now he's got to contend with the fact that three girls are viaing
for his love.

I mean first Viven Wong just wants to love him because he a world
famous duelist.

Second, Rebecca thinks Yugi is her boyfriend because he gave her the
ties of friendship card.

And let's not leave Tea out of the equation, because she is Yugi
long-time childhood friend, and sometimes a strong friendship like
the one she has with Yugi could delvop over time into something
more. Then again, let's not forget the Yami, because Tea obviously
has fallen for him.

And all Yugi wants right now are friends to support him and not
girlfriends, geez is that so much to ask.

This is talking about the Yu-Gi-Oh! cartoon, right? I've only seen a few eps years ago, so I'm not caught up on the series or anything like some of my family members are, but I have a basic idea of what you're talking about.

Well, to be frank, I'd probably be simultaneously flattered and annoyed if I had three girls vying for my attention. Although, it sounds more like Yugi's childhood friend is more in love with Yami (the pharaoh spirit inhabiting Yugi's body) more than Yugi himself, so it's really only two girls vying for Yugi. But since they share the same body if that hasn't changed, then it's the same difference.

Why would I be flattered? Because that's a lot of attention for one guy, I would be all like, "Wow, I must not look as bad as I thought if girls are fighting each other over me!" It could also be annoying though if I don't like the girls in question, and especially if they only want me because of something I do rather than who I am. Not to mention that it would create the additional pressure on me to choose between the three - I may not even want to choose any of them, which would get them all mad at me, or if I chose any of the three then I'd end up getting the other two mad.

So yeah, tough pressure when you're also trying to save the world from evil card-playing masterminds. Personally, I would like to have a friend whom I could trust entirely in a situation like this, who I could rely on and who could rely on me. If that person happened to be a girl who I'm also romantically interested in, so be it, but I'd probably need the friend first and foremost in her and not the girlfriend, as I'd probably want to keep her out of danger given the choice.

But then again, heroes in many different genres have had to deal with romantic complications over time, and it honestly makes things more realistic and intense at the same time, and in almost any culture in the world it is a matter of interest as to "who is going to be with who." Almost universally so.

Don't know if that was where you were aiming this discussion, but there you go.

I really can't see Viven in love with Yugi. I think she just wants his god cards. ;)

Rebecca really has matured, though, don't you agree?

Well, we'll find out more tomorrow, in the next episode. Unfortunately for me, I missed the last minute of last Saturday's duel between Joey and Twilly Pinky, so I never found out who won the duel. =(
