Even though it bombed in the theaters, even though it's probably not good in video sales, even though most likely nobody will watch it when it comes out on cable...

John Travolta STILL liked "Battlefield Earth", and in fact wants to make that sequal to it he was talking about when the first movie was still in production.

Now, as we all know, in general, sequals are seldom as good as the original (Compare Rocky 5 to Rocky 1), but in this case, the original "Battlefield Earth" wasn't even that good! It got torn apart by the critics, and bombed at the box office, so why would anyone want to make a sequal?

This is a sign that either 1: John Travolta's "Bad movie Curse" has come back ("Look who's Talking Now" mean anything?), or 2: John Travolta's devotion to Scientology has overridden his common sense. I'll lean towards the second option, personally.
