Guess what! a US district court ruled the death penalty uncaonstitutional. They say there's too much danger an innocent would be executed, and when that happens, it kinda ruins your appeal chances.
This only applies to Federal executions, and the supreme court could always overturn it(and probably will), but its nice to see.
