I'd like to know what we all like about classical music such as our favorite composers, works, musicians, etc. and any other thoughts we may have.
As for me, my favorite composers are Beethoven and Mahler. The first one everyone knows about, but the second one you may not know as much about, so I've posted a link here to help you out.

Mahler is known as a composer of large-scale symphonies and song cycles. I'm especially fond of his 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 9th Symphonies.
My overall favorite classical musician would have to be Leonard Bernstein. A composer, conductor, pianist, and teacher, Bernstein could do it all. I think America, as well as the world, was blessed when he came into the world.
And another thing, this may sound silly, but there are actually a few classical works that make me think of Sonic. They include:
Orff: "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana
Prokofiev: "Alexander's Entry Into Pskov" from Alexander Nevsky
Saint-Saens: Symphony No. 3 "Organ"
and a few others.
