I have noticed a patern recently with animated movies, they are all rated "PG". I find this strange considering that "Hey Arnold" has a TV rating of "Y". I think the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) is getting a bit nit-picky. I guess the early signs were evedent when they put "PG" ratings on "Atlantis" and "Digimon: The Movie".
The question is, is the Movie Industry doing this on purpose or is the MPAA just getting to conservative? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the MPAA being overly conservative. I mean I have seen movies get "R" ratings when they obviously have "PG-13" material.
On the other hand the Movie Industry might be doing this on purpose to bring in a wider audience. But which answer is the most plausable? What is your opinion?
