I am in major desparadoes of you guy's help. You see, I'm runing for class president. My opponent is one of those pretty, popular girls who is used to getting her way. But, a MAJOR benefit of mine is that we're about on the level as far as 'popularity', you could say, goes. Basically, the speach I give Thursday makes or breaks my campaign. This is where you come in. What should I cover in my speach? I only have a very basic idea of what to write. If you consider the fact that she did a lot more extra - cirricular activities than me, I'm pretty much done for. She's got NHS, she might have done basketball and yearbook (most likely), and she was an office assistant. All I've got is Quizbowl and Girl Scouts (if you consider all the hours I put in for my silver award, I've got her beat in community service). But what else? Please, help me!
UPDATE!
To empathise what Craig said about winning a popularity contest, I bring you the following excerpt from my day at school.
So, I'm on the way to my math class. I'm lookin' around at all of the campaign posters up and I notice that my opponent's sole poster. It starts out a little something like this.
Quote:
She's sexy, she's cute, she's popular to boot...
Is she so desperate to be CP that she resorts to her looks to win?
Talk about trying to win a popularity contest...
Thanks, LianneKa! That was something I complete forgot about.
Craig, rest assure I ain't trying to win no popularity contest. Setting aside I'm a bit of a control freak, President is something I really want to do. If this was only like running for President in history, this'd be a piece of cake. Unfortunately...
Xagarath, you're right. If her speach is anything like her above poster, I've pretty much got this thing won.
Again, thanks for your help!
