Almost like the result of turning 20.

As some of you may know, I've been working at a drugstore. (CVS) and its been over 2 years now. There were so many memories implanted from there. I loved the atmosphere... yet the organization could have been better. Everything was going along smoothly... until... Wednesday, July 28th.

I go upstairs and undergo a talk with a Loss Prevention Region Manager. He wants to talk with me. Initially, I'm afraid what he's interested in. This was originally because I was short 50 dollars one night and they were investigating the employees. So we sit down and talk. He mentions that I've done some things that have cost the company money. I literally don't know what he's talking about until he mentions that it has to do with scanning in items and that they aren't all scanned. I realize I've done it a few times, but not intentionally yet he thinks I'm doing it for the good of the people. He said that never in this 25 years of working has he seen someone put themself at risk not gaining anything themself. He's very fair, and I respect that. I insist that it was because I had not kept track of what was scanned and/or may have been distracted. Only thing is... no one knows how many times this may have occurred.

From that point, I'm deemed suspended until a phone call. That phone call arrived today.... about 15 minutes ago.

I'm terminated.

An entire two years... now ended up with being fired. I NEVER saw this coming and it now pains me that it has to end this way yet I have to accept this fate and move on... Thing is... that was my very first job. I'm still considered new to the working force. I can only just hope I'll find some place better suitable... I am however extremely thankful that my store manager would be more than happy to list me as a reference.
