Okay... It was at lunchtime today. I was watching Return Of The Jedi and my sister said something about episode 2. Nothing interesting. However, she said that her drama teacher (a massive SW fan) said that Lucas originally envisioned 9 films. But the three episodes following ROTJ probably won't be made into films because of what happens in them...

Okay, if you've ignored the warnings, or you're in some way interested by what I have to say, this is it...

Lucas's original story consisted of Episodes 1 to 9. We start with Annikan Skywalker becoming a jedi, then becoming Darth Vader then his son Luke becoming a jedi and fighting him, releasing him from the emperor's control. But this is what really stabbed me today; at some point in the last three episodes, I'm not sure when, Luke turns to the dark side... He becomes worse than Darth Vader and even kills Leia's children who happen to be jedis themselves. Apparantly Leia herself kills Luke at the end of it all.

It's not at all clear but I was wondering if anyone else has heard about this? I mean, I know there are SW books set after ROTJ and this could perhaps take place in some of those. Does anyone else know of this?

I have to say, it's very shocking and I can see why it's unlikely these episodes will become films.
