There's this collection of people called the 'Gartner Group'. Apparently they've adviced everyone to throw IIS (Microsofts little Web Server - as well as a core component of their .NET thing) far away 'til it's completely rewritten. (And this time actually somewhat functioning correctly)

Microsoft (for once) has actually reacted beyond saying "There's nothing wrong with IIS" and said they'll go along with that for their new version 6.0. Amazingly they have even thought of leaving it uninstalled by default! (WAUW!) Apparently though, this new version might also gain some preformance at the expence of stability (and some new vulnerability)

In other turns. Bush and his crew want to make the concept of 'hacking' an act of terrorism. (joy to the many) This and many things comming because: people can't think through panic. Interesting how people can stop caring about privacy when they're scared.

To make it even more tasteless.. some annoying figure has made a virus related to the whole WTC thingy. (how fun...or not)

And what scares me is that this is what the accidents made a British poll say about what should and should not be on ID cards:

(Religion? What in the name of chaos?!)

And finally, a group of british companies are busy telling Microsoft how their high prices will harm them, and how they might consider alternatives if nothing is done:

...news really brings me up... or maybe not.. ..50% of those articles tell me some people might need to reboot their minds.. too much junk clogging the thought process. (and some governments is going to have a FIELD DAY taking advantage of it)
