Ok someone (me this time) starts and asks a Sonic question. Then someone has to answer it then the question creator says correct then the person who answerd right make a question and so on and so on. (plz dont cheat it ruins the game)

My question is which hardly used character has only ever appeared once in a Sonic game and never again.

That's a flawed question, since I can count at least 5 characters that appeared once off the top of my head (Bean, Bark, Ray, Heavy, Bomb), as well as a truckload of badniks (well, you never said they don't count).

EDIT: I guess a couple of those don't apply if ports count as games. Still, though.

"hardly" used and yet used only once. Don't make me get my defense attorney badge, young man, I'll object to your lies and contradictions.

Single appearance characters: Babylons from Riders, Bean, Bark, Ray, Heavy, Bomb, Eggman Nega, Lumina Flowlight, Void, Illumina, Emerl, Gemerl and of course there's Mecha Knuckles and Tails Doll.

TD will punish you if you forget him.

Edit: As Deck mentioned ports, the characters who have never been ported:

Emerl, Gemerl, Ray, Heavy, Bomb, Lumina Flowlight, Void, Illumina and the Babylon Rogues.

Babylon Rogues can be excluded for appearing on multiple consoles.

Ok il admit that question was a little vague i did forget to add "not including Sonic the Fighters" l try harder next time :)
The answer was Ray the Flying squirrel and about the badniks i though people would be celever enoug h to realize they dont count.

What about the rest of the one shot characters mentioned. Even if you say the new ones don't count, Sonic Shuffle and Sonic R are old enough to be considered, especially given that Tails Doll's popularity far exceeds Ray the Recolour.

NONONONNO! (Smack Craig and Deack aside the head) HAVE I THOUGHT YOU NOTHING?!

Ok, they were close. And I also used GHZ because even though I forget some people. I assure you that are a LOT of one shots In the Sonic Fandom.

In order, and appearance in the game.

Sega Sonic: Ray the flying Squirrel

Mean Bean Machine: The Beans

Tails Sky Patorl: Witchcart
Carrotia
Bearenger
Fockewulf

Tails Adventure: Battle Kukku
Battle Kukku 16th (Speedy)(Boss 2x)
Dr. Fukurokov (Old Bird that got knocked out by a rock, Boss?)
Great Battle Kukku 15th (Boss/Director)

Soinc R: Tails Doll, Metal Knuckles

Sonic Suffle: Illumina, Lumina, Void

Sonic Advture: Tikal, Pachmachaic (Can't spell his name), The 2 to Perfect forms of Chaos

Sonic Battle: Gizoid/Emerl

Sonic Adv.3: G-mel

The Babylons and all the other people in Shadow are kinda hard to pinpoint as One shots, mainly because of the Sonic the Hegehog and Secrets hold some possable hints of ther return.

The Badniks, however, is a long list and some appeared more then Twice.

It's not our fault if he made the question too vague.

Who's turn is it anyway?

Isn't that the very point of this topic?

As well as the MoFo in general?

Hehe, this ain't nothing compared to previous threads we've had here. Looking back in the archives we've had a thread about Knuckles's chest marking, a Chao thread, numerous game canon threads, and several threads dedicated to the dead Sonic X-Treme. Even Cream had a thread about her.

We are the epitome of Sonic nerdness.

Well, I'm glad I am not.

But I'll just start with a trivia question to get the ball rolling.

Who was the first playable character to 'techincally' die in a Sonic series? (Watch out, think carefully)
NOTE: Sonic2k6 doesn't count since I haven't played it yet thus I don't know. Plus it would be a spoiler

Sonic can die about five seconds into Green Hill Zone if you play your cards right (or wrong, technically).

Robotnik "died" in Spinball, but whether that counts is arguable.

Wasn't Tails meant to have died in the bad ending of Sonic 2 on Game Gear?

Chronologically speaking, the first major character to die would be Pachamac, wouldn't it?

Keyword is "playable" =P, and I don't know about the Tails dying in Sonic2 Gamegear, but if you can get evidence to back yourself up, you'd get it.

Eggrobo.

He's playable in Sonic R, and "dies" in Sonic & Knuckles, when Mecha Sonic kills him.

Very good guess, but since the Eggrobos are a series of robots, it's counted as a badnick.
The unlockable playable Eggrobo in Sonic R isn't the same one from Sky Sanctuary Zone who dies.

Really good thinking skills though, you get a cookie =P

E-102 Gamma, of course.

Though Metal Sonic is the more appropriate answer as he is playable in many later games and does die multiple times.

I was going to say Gamma im sorry my question was vague IM SORRY DONT KILL ME i was unaware of popularity of Taisl Doll and i think its kinda obvious i wasnt referring to the beans.

Nope...E-102 Gamma was never REALLY alive -
THe flicky inside of him was, though.
And she was set free.

But I'll give you the next turn on account of guessing Metal Sonic. Since he doesn't require an animal to function, when he dies he truely is dead.

BUT, this may throw you off, when is the earliest he dies?
(Only Craig can answer this if he wants to - it's his turn but I wanna see if he gets this right =D)

There may be a SLIGHT trick involved =P.

Ya know, though, the prollum with these games is that since it's on the internet, we can all use www.theghz.com or www.sonichq.org to answer all the questions, you know?

Metal Sonic first dies in Sonic CD, vaporised by Eggman's laser. No coming back from that one, little man. I assume by your question, however, that you count that as the distant future, due to the timeline of the fight. If that is the case, Chaotix would be my best bet.

"Mecha/Silver" Sonic died in Sonic 2, but was upgraded and came back in Sonic & Knuckles where he was killed forever, though his base production model is still in Eggman's Mystic Ruin base.

It's debateful whether a robot is ever truely alive to die in the first place, anyway.

What was the first zone in a Sonic game to be passed without a boss battle?

Scrap Brain Zone in Sonic 1.
Act 3 is the Labyrinth-like level which leads directly to the Final Zone.

I'll go then. Here's mine.

In what zone did you fight a boss without going to the final act?

I hope I worded that right. Let me know if you need any clarification.

O.o What? OH! Err..The one place! In S3&K!

With Knuckles >_O ::Stops drinking right now::

Hidden Palace!!! Cuz Knux is there and you whip on him and then you leave to Sky Sanctuary.

EDIT: I don't count him as a mini Boss, just the battle you've been waiting for.

HYPER SONIC vs Knuckles. (hehehe)

Nope to everyone so far.

Since someone needed clarification, by boss I mean the final end-of-zone boss, like Eggman's ball and chain mech at the end of Green Hill Zone in Sonic 1 or the infernal ant lion boss of Underground Zone in the 8-bit Sonic 2.

the Knux fight seemed like an answer it fits the question then it must be sonic 1 scrap brain city act 3

Sky Sanctuary for Knuckles...
It's pretty much JUST a boss fight.
That's gotta be a valid answer.
It may not be what you had in MIND, but it fits nonetheless.

Take note of what I bolded. Hidden Palace Zone doesn't have more than one act, so it has no final act. Also, I clarified in my second post that by boss, I mean an Eggman construct. Knuckles may have worked with Eggman in S&K, but he wasn't a construct. Scrap Brain also doesn't work, because it has no boss.

Maybe I should have initially said an Eggman construct instead of just saying boss.

The zone I'm looking for has more than one act. Hence why I said "final act." Hidden Palace will not work because it only has one act. Also, the boss in question is an Eggman construct, meaning Eggman built it. This disqualifies Knuckles because he wasn't built by Eggman. Tricked, but not built.

I'm surprised people are having trouble with this, since I didn't think it was that obscure. Should I just say the answer and ask another question or not?
