My intrests are video game design, however many freeware programs, such as Lunar Magic are Windows compatable only. No Mac. =(
And the ones that are that I do download take up a lot of processing power, demo limits what you can do and gets out like every 10 minutes, and cost money to buy the full version.
I do have experience with making levels with Marble Blast Gold (since the full version graciously came with my family's downstairs Mac)
So yeah, I am getting older and older (almost 20) and still don't have the tools to make my dreams come true. I would even love to make games with flash, but my sister didn't take that class so the adobe product didn't get downloaded on the home computers. =(
Watching those videos on youtube is like window shopping for something that is out of your reach.
Oh, I need to give a question. Ok, I'm not in a mood right now for another flashy thing like before, so here's a quickie.
Overtime, Sonic has been given countless moves to his belt. Which one of these is called "kaiten?"
Ha! That's the little rolling move after you crouch down. I think the Instant Shield (Advance's jump special) is also called this by some.
Like I said, it wasn't much. Your go.
I'll pass as I've had a turn recently (and cannot think of a snappy question at the time). Free to next poster!
I call.
What Sonic 1 level was visited by "otherworldly" constructs?
Marble Zone.
Yep. Your go.
Alright, again I will do a common knowledge question, just to get it out of the way. How many cat/feline characters are in the Sonic universe? Be nice and list them.
1). Big the Cat
2). Blaze the Cat
I want to say another, but I don't think there is one.
Honey the Cat, too.
Ooh, I knew I was forgetting someone. Does she actually count as a real character though?
She does, in the hearts of the fans. And isn't that all that matters?
Besides, I heard you can play as her ingame with a gameshark.
Heh, fair enough. The ball is in your court, Mr. Bayfield.
Don't be too hasty. Aren't you forgetting someone?
You got yer Big n' Blaze n' Honey vershuns.
Then you got Sara the Catgirl from the OVA.
Then you got the Lions from the Adventure series you give to Chao.
Also I think there were Tigers in Advance.
Am I a winnar?
I thought Sara's tail was of monkey like decent o.o
And in my research I didn't think about post SA animals, I only checked the original capsule animals o.o;
At the risk of being pedantic and anal retentive, would any animal friends even count as characters? Surely characters would imply that it is an individual character, not something there is many of.
Thus, Big, Blaze and Honey would be all. Sera is debatable, although most signs point to cat-girl.
Like I said, I don't believe Sara is a catgirl. She seems more like a sayian to me, and considering the Sonic series's current record of DBZ similarities...
Is the lion guy/gal from Sonic X season 2 canon? If yes count that in.
EDIT:
Oh! And Tiara Boobowski! Manx cat she is!
Finally. I didn't think it would of been that hard to think of the second famous scraped female cat after Honey was mentioned...considering the popularity people have into the development of Sonic Xtreme.
Now, the question is who gets it. Erika got the last one, but didn't answer the most. Should we give it to her anyway?
I say yes; she would have had no problem guessing Big and Blaze and Honey if Craig and I hadn't said them.
Yay! My turn!
So, here's your question:
What was the first sonic game to allow you to keep shields between acts?
Warning: It's not as obvious as it seems people!
I want to say Sonic 3 but that seems too easy... so perhaps Sonic CD, if you're counting the time warping as separate acts?
I'm gonna take a random (and almost certainly wrong) guess and say... Sonic 1 8 bit?
sonic332 gets it!
That was fast!
Sonic 1 8-bit was indeed the first Sonic game to allow shields to be carried over from act to act. It's a little known fact, but it's extremely useful when you have to face the boss in a ringless stage.
Your turn!
Yay me!
All right, let me think of one...
Got it! In which Sonic Adventure stage is there a message to the player hidden in the scenery? Name the stage, the characters who can see it, AND the message.
"F IS REAL 2008"
Egad, I wish -__-
Nope.
...what is that supposed to MEAN, anyways?
Whoever correctly gets the refrence aquires a double cookie.
Anyways... Next guess.
If memory serves me correct, it's in Final Egg, which means it's out of Sonic, Gamma and Amy. Doubtful I'm remembering correctly though, as it's been so long since SA.
Wrong-o. Next guess.
It's also in SA: DX, unchanged.
Quote:
...what is that supposed to MEAN, anyways?
It's a reference to SM64's "L is real 2041".
I'll claim my double-cookie, 'kay.
Wow. Can't believe I of all people managed to come up with one that'd stump all of you this badly.
Shadow Hog is right on the money! But I'm sure you knew that anyway. Please continue with the main question...
I'll give you two, maybe three more days to get it before I'm telling.
Considering it's been two weeks and these things are meant to have a three-day expiry date, I reckon just tell us the answer and someone move onto the next question.
All right, all right.
In Sky Deck, there are yellow signs painted everywhere that, when viewed, read, "WARNING: SA stage of sky deck was one of the dangerous action stages, but very exciting." Naturally, it being Sky Deck and all, only Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles could see it in normal gameplay.
I'm guessing by the fact that no one got it that it's the kind of evil question being asked for.
Next poster gets the next turn.
