WhAt if the next-gen game is a new continuity?
Probably not. Correct me if i'm wrong. But I belive that the next gen game is only supposed to be a adaption of Sonic 1 as in having a few simular features.
After all, SEGA don't really have a continuity, normally they bearly mention past games. With the execption of Shadow TH and a couple of Metal Sonic's lines.
No I don't think it is a big fat nuclear bomb of a reset button. The fact that Shadow is there and rumours of old Sonic characters turning up and saying hi should discount it.
Could this have been brought up in the main thread though. It has lost some steam since E3.
With the inclusion of Shadow (and similar gameplay techniques, apparently), Silver, this 'Iblis Trigger' thingumy, and this princess character, something tells me it'd be a very, very loose adaption...
At this point, I doubt Sonic 2K6 is any kind of Sonic 1 adaption or retelling. =P

No, they really didn't.
On average of the 26 Hours of Sonic X Season 1 I'd say about 9 maybe 10 of them were half decent.
It would NOT be like having the Simpsons cancelled! (that's the only cartoon I watch now, all others -Futurama suck to me now, go on name one I either haven't heard of it or hate it)
I like the whole Sonic plot, the bits that make sense (so remove the commander), it beats te hell outta Mario.

P.S. OT: Not only Sonic Underground was the worst Sonic cartoon EVER, but it is a bad cartoon in general. There are more redeeming points in Sonic X than SU. At least X is more in the spirit of the games in characters and motif to an extent, which is more I can say for an awful musical show which places an OOC Sonic, gives him *ugh* siblings, and have tem traveling the worlds spreading their funshine, sunshine throughout the world, in vain hope that because of the Sonic name, kids will buy the premise.
But anyway, back to the original topic.

In all fairness, X after episode 25 in the original Japanese is quite good...
Well maybe I say all this because Underground has been dead and cremated for some time now and Sonic X is still (horrifyingly) fresh in my mind, I don't like many kids shows to be honest.
I got the perfect solution then. Don't watch it, simple as that.
