Sonic Battle. I never want to play Heroes again.
I'm one of the select few who enjoyed Sonic Heroes =(
My vote is for Heroes, tho' I've never played Sonic Battle <shrug> the artwork, though, is not really my type.

eeeeh... advance 3 was too convoluted, and I didnt like it much... but I've never played Shadow, though I've never heard a single good thing about it...sooooo... Advence 3. I'd take a subpar 2D game over a subpar 3D game anytime

Advance 3 felt way to uninspired in it's Level design, yeah, so did Shadow, but at least Shadow didn't have 3 acts of the same before you finally got to a boss.
You remember in Sonic 3? EVERYONE knows all the Shortcuts and hidden routes, because each part of the level could be easily recognised, you could walk on someone playing Launch Base Zone and be like "Ah, you're about 2/3rds of the way through!" But NOT SO with Sonic Advance 3...you'd be playing it thinking..."Where the hell am I going?".

No, Sonic Rush hands down, Riders was good but the controls and difficulty curve made it hard for beginners.

Rush, I haven't played Riders, and Rush is the only ray of hope I've had from the Sonic series since SA2 5 years ago.

As said, the controls killed the learning curve -- I rented it, played two levels, and took it back with quite a headache.

the Advance games were just warm up for this game. Rush is a worthy sequal and the only draw backs for me with it are the generic music no Super Sonic/Blaze other than the final act...
No Riders for me. If it aint a Burnout, I don't go for racers

I gotta go with Sonic 2. As much as Sonic 1 is pretty much the most classic game ever, Sonic 2 just took everything that 1 had and improved it. Not to mention Knuckles + Sonic 2 = fantabulous.
