Sonic Adventure DX is a close follow up, I often see that as a 3D version of Sonic 3 And Knuckles so that may be why.

Knuckles' Chaotix.
Ho ho ho, well, I found Chaotix to be a tad repetative after trying to complete the same 5 acts over and over again, with a painfully easy final boss.
I found Tails Adventures to be a bit more enjoyable.

DAMNIT! CHAOTIX WINS! Although I am a bit annoyed, I hope people aren't voting for Chaotix simply because it's a harder Sonic game to get ahold of...
I genuinely thought that Tails' Adventures was a much more interesting and better made game! amount of skills and weapons, plus the fact that you had to explore a whole island kept me hooked all the way!
Still, I guess that's just me being a sore loser, *sob*

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. No contest.
This is a tough decision as both games annoyed me at times from 100% enjoying them to the fullest.
Eh I just going to give the slight edge to Advance 2--but just a slight.
Sonic Adventure 2, although not by much, it had a lot more variety than Sa2 at least...

It had good plot, though and I think it followed in SA's steps in a way, although it got some things wrong, too.
