We all probably know about Ashura and his green and black Emerald Hill flickies, but has anyone found other color glitches in the characters?
I haven't done it in a while but in Sonic 3K, if you use debug mode to use one character to beat another character's ending, there are all sorts of glitches. Beating Doomsday with Knuckles turns him cyan, and then Sonic blue. Beating it with Tails gives you a blue Knuckles with two orange tails which get lodged in the mountains of the Floating Island as the plane goes behind it. In another combination, a yellow Sonic rescues picks you up in the tornado.
Another one which is much harder to pull off is having all seven Chaos Emeralds and using debug to beat Sonic 2 or Sonic 3K (I forgot which) with Tails, toggling to a ring through the credits, and turning him back to Tails when the final good ending picture comes up with the characters standing around the 2 or 3. Tails is dark green and brown and for a very short time you can control him. This may or may not work with Sonic or Knuckles.
I've already made up characters with some of the glitches. I've used the cyan echidna as Cyan Cypress, a girl echidna who is the rival of Amy Rose and the guardian of the Sunken Island (a.k.a. Tidal Tempest) on the Little Planet.
Anyone find other weird glitches?

I haven't tried it on SMC with debug, only with stage select o_O
How do you do it?

Also, one day I was playing S2 on SMC in Wing Fortress (I think it was wing fortress...can't remember now) I was fooling around with debug during the boss battle and was placing bits of Robotnik to see if I could fight more than one of him...I placed one thing and the game completely froze o_O but I could still press Z and go back to the game select screen and everything was normal XD
If you get Super Sonic on Sonic 2 with Debug, then kill yourself and quickly hit B (to "resurrect" Sonic"), then hit an enemy to turn back to regular Sonic, then get Super Sonic again...he'll turn pink for one frame of animation.
You can turn Knuckles aqua in Carnival Night Act 2 if you "chase" him with Debug when he hits the gravity switch before the boss.
Also in Sonic 2, doing the "Ashura" code doesn't just give you a green-and-black Sonic, it can randomly make him red, brown or even yellow.
Why doesn't anyone uses the modern Sonic sprites?
because they arent sprite edits but actual glitches where its the games fault. I caused Mighty to have a blue shell on Chaotix. cant remember how i did that. had something to do with making him large and speed shoes.
Now Sonic Advance 2 characters ending poses are recolored.

i think you're missing the point here, superexplosivetails. we're talking about when the colours change in the game due to a glitch or a code, not when someone uses an image editing programme to re-colour them on their computer.
