Okie-dokie. I've got three questions for all of ya'll.

1) In Sonic Adventure DX, I want to create a Power-type Chao. I need to know if giving the Chao just enough blue animals so it can go into water without floundering pathetically will prevent the Chao from becoming a Power-type after it evolves. Or will the blue animals change the typing?

2) If it won't, can anyone tell me what blue animals are the best for raising the Swimming stat? I've searched Google for any charts detailing what animals will increase what skills and came up with nothing.

3) This isn't Chao related, but I'm curious. Can anyone who's played Sonic Heroes all the way through tell me if Metal Sonic ever made physical contact with Sonic that wasn't battle related? I've been toying with a plot point in a fanfic I've been writing, and this'll help me decide whether or not to use it.

Thanks in advance.

I can answer this one. It's after when Sonic defeats Metal Overlord. Metal Sonic reverts to normal form wondering why he can't defeat Sonic. Sonic says it's because he and his friends are Sonic Heroes. Sonic and Tails leave with Amy following Sonic. Knuckles chase after Rouge who is after the M.E. again. Eggman is chased by the Chaotix because they weren't getting paid. Omega holds Metal Sonic, who's currently offline. Omega and Shadow looks at each other and then towards the horizon/

Edit: Doing research, I've found out that your Chao MUST have AT LEAST 100 points in its swimming catergory for it to not flail around in water anymore

They don't actually touch each other if that's what you mean

1) Just unload tons of power into it after it's able to swim

2) GFAQs

Thanks everyone.

HSW, do you have a link for the chart. I searched both the Sonic Adventure section and the Sonic Adventure DX section of GameFAQs and couldn't find one.

Yellow animals are the swimming animals. The blue animals either add a bit to everything or just pick a stat randomly. I don't know how differently the mole, koala, or skunk (blue animals) affect the chao. The chao becomes whatever its best stat is unless it is balanced enough to become neutral.

I'm certain I had one at some point, but you're right, there doesn't seem to be one. Weird.

Okay. I'll just experiment and see which one's better. Hopefully, I can finally start a Chao Garden file without getting corrupted. Thanks again everyone.

EDIT: Just thought of a couple more:

1) What stats does a Chao fruit raise and by how much?

2) Are there any types of fruit that'd boost the Swimming stat?

1. Chao fruit in the game itself only raises stamina. It's usually by about 3-5 points in a level, I think. I never really counted.

2. There are a couple of them, but you can only get them in the Tiny Chao Garden in Sonic Advance 1, 2, or Sonic Pinball Party. While there is nothing to raise the Swim stat exclusively, I recommend using the upside down pink fruit. It raising Swim and Run by 4, Stamina by 2, and Belly by 2.

As a note from me, since you're going for a Power Type, raise it's Swim until it gets to 100 in a Tiny Chao Garden (if you have one), then put it back in the regular garden and just give it all power stuff you want to. Generally, the chao evolves into whatever type its highest stat is. Just make sure the Power stat is more than 100, and you should be fine.

This one's for Sonic Advance 2 but they're all the same anyway:

Thanks. I'll have to see if I can dig out my Sonic Advance game and procure a link cable somehow.

You don't need Sonic Advance to do it, it's just way easier.

Although I did master that rock paper scissors game, I always get 70-99 rings on every play. So that's pretty fast too, I guess.

Well, it's just the cable I'll have to buy. I already have Sonic Advance. I just don't know where the slagging thing is.
