EXACTLY. Never existed in the Japanese continuity, and probably never will. And, seeing as the Japanese continuity is the one being referenced...

Mobius didn't ever exist. Sega of America made up the name, in Japan it's always been Earth (Un-named Planet) and now the voiced games are retconing themselves to the original plot, removing all references to the whole Kintobor muck up that was on SoA's website and both comics.
Oh, I know that. It's just that, when I was typing my post, I went from the most recent post at the time (which was BEFORE the ezBoard attack), and that one was discussing the name problems with Nack/Fang. I was just confused about someone going on an entirely different tangent.
Where DID that discussion about the Earth/ Mobius debate come from, anyways? Isn't this a topic about a certain sleasy weasel (say that ten times fast).
That's the reason why you should show caution replying to ancient topics, there are alot of posts which are missing due to the crash and so we cannot be sure what was going on during that discussion. Try to stick to more recent discussions, ey

As did a few others, but I don't see Fang ever coming back. Unless of course you want to count the addition of StF on SGC, which had Fang in it.
Well, CHaotix came back, and those three had been gone for years without any new titles. Fang has the most of a chance to get a comeback... he's even on the SEGA site. Also, BArk and Bean wont come back, as they're owned by VM2... so the only two who would really have a chance are Fang and Mighty. There's extra slots in RIders, and some of the secret charas are supposed to be real 'suprising', so Fang could very well be one.

Apparently Robotnik goes all the way with his new aviator uniform in Riders and hops on a hovering scooterbike to join the racers.
Given this new mode of transport, it would be a total cop-out to leave out Nack - they could at least make him an unlockable Eggman clone ala Smash Bros Melee.
If Nack/Fang returns, he should most definitely be a mini-boss instead of a playable (which we have enough of). Actually, having a recurring, lone wolf or mercenary mini-boss with a grudge (and optional comic relief) who shows up occasionally is usually kind of fun, and they're frequently among the most memorable parts of a game. Vile comes to mind as that sort of character. Knuckles started out in that role. And some of my favorite parts of Mario & Luigi are the Popple battles.
If I recall my days with Sonic: Triple Trouble, I think Nack definetly has potential as a sinister comic relief. Even in the 16-bit days he had a "Wile E. Coyote complex" and his machines always backfired on him.
I have a feeling Fang/Nack well return in Sonic Riders or next generation.
I don't see Nack returning any time soon. There must be some reason he has a character bio on SoA.com, tho. He may return eventually, but not in Riders or NextGen Sonic.

Alright so, let's say he does come back. What should they do with his gun? Should it become real? Like shoot bullets and stuff or should it remain a cork gun? lol I think it would be odd if it remained a cork gun, but if it became real he'd be a pretty violent character. Honestly I think the cork gun would be hilarous. lol Or maybe he should have some sort of tranqulizer, so he can stun people then take their jewels. 
They could always make it kinda like a gamma gun. Shoot indistinct bullet-like projectile blasts.
