Please, enlighten me. Why would he be so hotheaded when he's living peacefully on his island?

If Knuckles doesn't have an excuse, then I'm just going to accuse him of being just as much of a Gary-Stu as Sonic is. (See ZonicVoom's topic in the MF-Central forum.)

Well, any time we see him, he's not peacefully on his island. Either someone is invading it (S3&K) and trying to steal his Lucky Char--- Master Emerald, or they have already succeeded and he is trying to get it back.

Or he's just being Jamaican and chilling with Sonic for no good reason.

Point being, if he's written correctly, he's protecting Angel Island, and by proxy the Master Emerald, and when it is endangered, Knuckles gets a bit angry and irrational.

Having a temper = Gary-Stu?

Man people have got to stop causually throwing these terms around the way they are.

First... he's red. Red is the color of temper. Make him yellow and he'd be mellow.

Second... well he spends all day alone on an island in the middle of nowhere. Trust me, that kind of lonely existence sucks. Especially when the only companions you have seem to be a bunch of furry animals and not a single female of your own species in sight...

By that logic, Rouge represents purity because she's white.

I've finally found someone else who also believes the peach-ish colors on the characters are fur instead of skin! Finally! ;_;

Wait...wut? Why shouldn't it be exposed skin? Some animals have exposed skin on their bellies and inner ear, paws... and, um... buttcheeks.

'Peach' fur seems odd, by a character design standpoint. Why not make it obvious it's supposed to be fur and color it white?

Knuckles is anti-social...kinda. He's getting out more. When's the last time I seen him with the M.E. in the same place... Maybe the M.E. is more self protected now?

Because we, as humans, are also covered with [insert the color of your skin] hairs that are transparent (unless you are guy, and you have hairs in your arms/legs/privates/etc).

Monotreme - from the Greek monos 'single' + trema 'hole', referring to the cloaca

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monotreme

You would be angry too if you were the only mammal that had one hole for excreting wastes.

Because Sega don't know what to do with him - and thus, he's confused, scared and annoyed that he's being underpaid as a result! 8D

Knuckles has lived alone most of his life- you'll notice that socially undeveloped/inexperienced people tend to get angry when something bad happens, and this is especially so when they're thrown into a new situation. Every see a two-year-old throw a tantrum when something goes wrong, or there's a drastic, unexpected change in their environment or routine? Case-in-point. He's not stupid, just rather socially inept. (Although he IS getting better- and so is his temper)
