To keep this question from popping up over and over and over again, I've decided to make one ultimate poll for this question: What is your favourite Sonic Team game?
Now, because there are only 5 options in the polls, we're going to have to do this the manual way. Nonetheless, I'd like everyone who comes to South Island to post here once.
I'm going to list every Sonic Team game (sans 0.5 upgrades). Please pick one from the list. You don't have to give a reason why the game is your favourite, but if you do, please keep it brief and turn all signatures off. Only post one reply. Though only just. Sonic 2 was a damned fine game, but the chance to have free movement of the characters and the fact that SA had a story is the only thin that birngs it over.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
It introduced everything new but Sonic himself, and was better than the first.

Sonic CD.
Sonic Adventure. Had wonderful adventure fields and a terrific story.
Sonic 3&K.
Long and involved stages, lots of bosses, cool music, loads of special stages, Knuckles...
...I still go back to that game at least once a month just for nolstagic purposes. ^^

NiGHTs into dreams...
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.
Sonic 2 (for introducing Tails and building on what the original game started) or Sonic 3 and Knuckles for offering more of the same great playability with even better graphics and even more levels. Probably S3+K.
NiGHTS was amazing, but it was just more of the same gameplay with better graphics.
Sonic Adventure 2. Pure gameplay, pure fun. ('Cept Tails levels.)

This is hard. Sonic 1 started it all...SA was amazing..NiGHTS was a savior...but all in all...PSO. Phantasy Star Online is my choice...why? 655 hours logged!
S3&K and the Adventures

NiGHTS into Dreams. Simply the best Sonic Team game ever. Sure, the Sonic Adventures had a much better storyline, but NiGHTS' gameplay? Can't beat it.
