Due to a recent subject brought up in SuperExplosiveTails' topic, I thought it would be interesting to put out the question in its own thread:
What stupid lines in the recent Sonic games makes you want to mute the TV?
I believe someone (forgive me, I've forgotten who) brought up Knuckles' "Shaa!" from Sonic Heroes.
Personally, I'm a fan of Sonic's emotionless cries of what I suppose is panic as Tails crashes the Tornado at the beginning of Sonic Adventure.
Or how about "Say something, you fake hedgehog!" from SA2?
Or how about "I'll show you what TRUE evil is!" from SH, Egg Emperor? Not a terrible line, but painfully cliche.
Or how about you tell me?
You know what for some odd reason i'd normally have tons of lines but it's late and I can't think of anything. Sorry, but tomorrow i'll have a few. Nice topic idea by the way. 
What most sticks out in my weed-addled mind at the moment is "We're not just heroes, we're Sonic Heroes!" or something to that effect.
Actually most of what Sonic said in Sonic Heroes was erm...teeth grindingly corny. Actually most of Heroes was teeth grindingly corny. Cant really think of anything from Adventures 1 and 2 though that really made me clinch up in embaressment.
Heres the worst offenders:
"Now we'll show that creep the real super power of teamwork"
Imagine the scene: your about to wage war on a Evil Genius on his home turf in the sky and Big spouts this:
"I want to find Froggy and go fishing"
"You steal the power of others and thats supposed to make you tough?" Rouge @ Metal Overlord
"No time to waste, YEAH WERE SONIC HEROES!!!(tm)"
"Look at all those Eggman's Robots!"
It makes me want to vomit. Noisily.
"Chips? You mean potato chips?"
Ugh, Charmy is so annoying.
No, the Sonic Heroes line and tails' "Look at all those Eggmans Robots"
Terrible 
Knuckles: We're not going in THERE are we?
Sonic: Yes we are!
Cream: You've fought Eggman before Amy? You too Big?
Big: Froggy...
...and in the 'so bad it's funny' catagory:
Espio: Evil must die! Fear my ninja power!
God Sonic Heroes had terrible scripting...
Well, before I take the quotes that kill my ears, I do remind that at least (majority of) the game actors are better than their Sonic X counterparts. I'd rather have "Shaa!" than the gravel gargalling equivalent, or pouty teen over 40 year old chain smoker, let's not get into Cream or Vanilla (I'm holding out for a 3d Vanilla! Why? Because I CAN!)
So, with that aside, these are the quotes that make me wish to throw my TV out the window.
Tails: I don't know, but what I do know is... WE DID IT TOGETHER!!! (even worse, when you take into equation that Eggman asked him if his grandfather wanted to kill them)
Shadow: Is that what Chaos Control is?! (Bad translation or not, that line is SO out of place and hurts my ears)
Tails: WHAAAA!!! STOP IT KNUCKLES! (Hang Castle cutscene where Knux tells Tails they just saw Shadow's ghost. I have never, EVER heard a voice so gratingly annoying in all my life! It hurts!)
Charmy's over enthusiastic BRING IT ON! makes me shudder too.
E103's only line: "MINE IS THE RIGHT FROG!!!1111!!!!1111221!211" is possibly the worst line in Sonic Adventure, and that game has ALOT of bad lines. Seriously, did they get someone in to do that voice, or did someone just put on their silliest voice and try to impersonate a drunken clown falling off of a chair while sucking hellium!?
Amy Rose.
Sorry, but learning Lisa Ortiz will be doing Amy in the future means I can finally say "I HATE THE OLD AMY ROSE VOICE ACTOR AND AM WILLING TO SACRIFICE THE GOOD ONES JUST TO REPLACE HER!!!" 
she can make ANY line sound dreadful, seriously, just listen to her say "Birdy" at any time in SA1. ANY time!
*Laughs* I think that's about it. I don't get too offended by the lines in Sonic games, because I long since gave up the hope that the cutscenes would make sense in the grand scheme of things.
Thinking about it, Sonic was very monotone throughout the first SA. Most annoyingly so in Twinkle Park, I think, during the car-race sequence. Every time he hit one of those dang booster things, the exact same "Whoa!" sound played. Argh, I still have nightmares about that one...
And Eggman's line in SA: "Adieu! Until we meet again my friends, mwa-ha-ha-ha!" That line is SO corny, but I love it for some odd reason. It's really over the top, but it sounds like the actor put in some effort.

That ALWAYS cracked me up, come on it's hilarous, and the sound effects suit the voice. COME ON, it's brilliant...

I don't mind "Is that what chaos control is?" I agree, it just feels like it fits. I suppose he was just confused as to what the Biolizard did. It's not like Shadow watches others Chaos Control very often.
Tails' line about "doing it together" at the end does bother the living hell out of me....
In Sonic Heroes, I have no problem with Charmy, because it's in his personality to sound silly and say stupid things. It just feels like who he is. I'm more bothered by wandering hero Sonic chirping "We'll show them the real super power of team work," or international spy Rouge spontaneously shouting "Yeah Baby, this makes us a team!"
I still say that, in the old days, Knux would have socked Sonic if he had called him a "Sonic Hero."

Sonic's line at the end of Sonic Heroes, right after you beat Metal Sonic. It was something along the lines of,
Looks like it's game over...FOR YOU!
Worst line I've ever heard in any video game.
I have to agree with the "We're Sonic Heroes" line. Man that's BAD! I feel embaressed whenever they say that. Mind you i've only heard it the once, and considering the game, perhaps i'll never hear it again...

The line isn't that bad on paper, it's more the way it's said. I don't think it's paticulary something Knuckles would say (I've always seen him as more fearless), and the way Sonic says 'Yes we are!' just made me want to burn the disc.

Knuckles sounded tired when he said that. I would be more than just slightly confused. Come on, King Boom Boo, a friggin huge ghost appearing out of nowhere and you are in a semi lit room so you say it like you are about to curl up and have a nap. I don't think so.

The scene where Gamma brings Eggman Froggy. The other robots are arguing about who has the right frog.
Like...
"I have the frog!"
"This is the real one"
"Mine is the right frog!"
Which I don't think is the whole quote. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong robot. I have no problem with that scene. It's perfectly acted, more than I can say for the rest of the game, and I love Eggy's VA in that scene. The whole "Froggy Under The Arm" thing is kinda weird, tho.

Now, it's not because I'm a Knuckles fan or anything, but I think this line is pretty well acted ^^; Compared to many others, that is. He sounds confused and mildly scared to me ^^;
However, I do have a few lines that really irritate me.

Sonic: I'll make you eat those words!
Okay, it's not -bad-, but the voice overlapping and the lines themselves annoy me.

Eggman: GET A LOAD OF THIS!
...... AGH! @____@; It makes me want to kamikaze off the platform. Sometimes it -did- make me kamikaze off the platform. It's so freaking annoying..... GYAH.

Yes, but I believe Sonic only did it behind him. (I'll just use your: Chaos Control!) Even if he did catch a glimpse of it, I doubt it would look exactly like when a fifty story cybernetic wang-monster performed it. Shadow was simply tiered and confused, and his foe just vanished.
You didn't like "Get a load of this!"? That line is so awesome! I don't even mind that it's repeated over and over, sometimes interrupting itself... It's awesome! I still say it to myself, sometimes...
But the SA2 multiplayer/character battles... argh! How about Rouge saying "Bleh-bluh-Blackwave!" What is that even supposed to mean? Does it help if you stutter or something?

Yea no kidding the overlapping lines is really annoying, but realistic I suppose. Shadow was making fun of Sonic, I think Sonic was somewhat annoyed and didn't wanna hear Shadow finish. Maybe...

My most hated quote....hmm....probably the entire scene involving Team Rose and Chaotix in Sonic Heroes, not that it was the voice acted, just how insane the scene ehich essentially boils down to this:
Vector: Hello
Amy: Sorry, spoken for
Vector: What? Brat!
Espio: HAND OVER THE CHAO!!!!!
Big: Don't tease my friends!
Charmy: Yay, a reason to beat up random strangers!
The entire thing just makes me cringe :/. Other than that I'd say all of Tails' robotic acting in SA2.

Please read the older posts, we've etablished that Sonic was behind him whenever he did it, so Shad didn't see it.

Exactly. He just turned to see his massive foe (which should have been defeated) disappear in a magical ball of light. He was momentarily confused as to what happened, and probably hoping that it didn't "Chaos Control."

Seeing that he's knuckles, I didn't think he was supposed to have a REALLY scared voice, he just seemed a bit more confused than scared, like you said.
What about in Sonic Adventure, just after Chaos transforms into Chaos 4, and Sonic says "Man, no one ever cuts us any slack!" Sonic says that with the most wrong tone of voice there

And this one is the first level as Dark Side on SA2. As Eggman you are going through the facility and a woman's voice comes on and says something like "Intruder has breached sections 1-8. Get him." I always laugh whenever I hear it, I can't help it. lol
