Eggman IS Sonic's father!

You're on a mission to make sure that everybody thinks that Sonic is a Gary-Stu aren't you?

Heh its true. For any of the folks who think Sonic is a Gary Stu will instantly jump in front of bullets aimed at THEIR original characters XD

And while I do believe that the terms Mary-su and Gary-stu are valid. I can't say that Sonic is one.

Princess Elise on the other hand.....well...think about it. Do people hate her because she's a true Sue? Or because her debute was in one of the buggiest most crappily written and frustrating Sonic the Hedgehog games ever made?

Same for Silver as well.

To be honest though I'd expect critisism from readers of my OC's......that is if I had any. I think Mary Sue is a valid term but only when it measures the skill of the writer. Not in context of "My character is a better girlfriend for Sonic than yours!"

But....should....this doesn't seem like a topic that belongs in the South Island forum. Maybe Carnival Island? I started a topic Months ago about Mary-sues there anyway.

Wait, it makes perfect sense now, Eggman killed Naka, Oshima and Yashura and sent robot doubles to make the Sonic series terrible.

Sonic may very well have been created, much like Shadow.

Yes, mostly because of a compliment Shadow said during the final fight of SA2.

However, most of us moved on when we either a/ realized Sonic has about as much deep and meaningful thought put into it as a can of Tesco Value Baked Beans, and/or b/ would rather forget everything that's happened since SA1.

Though maybe I should be quite so sweeping, I'm sure plenty have just forgotten too. 😛

If Eggman were to kill Sonic's parents in the past (should Sega implied them), Sonic would be dead.
Otherwise, it won't do anything but make Sonic one angry hedgehog.

Its impossible to call Sonic a Gary Stu. All of the characters are virtually on the same plane of depth....that being very shallow. Theres nothing really "real" about any of the cast. Shadow's the only character with an exstensive and exhausting backstory. Everybody else exsists "just cuz" save for maybe Knuckles.

Edit: Sonic was created by eggman to do his evilness but Sonic somehow turned good and has been a thorn in Eggman's side ever since.
