i might check them out, but i've gone off fast food lately. and i think they'll hold my attention about a minute less then the LCD games. 😛

Wait, are these toys only available for the UK only as in are they currently out now or is this the next toyline in the Happy Meals internationally? Right now in the US we have Narnia toys.

Those things look pretty sad.

I'm kinda interested (there are times when I enjoy collecting toys and such), though they look awkward to use...
But the only Mc Donalds near me is many long blocks away, and I'm trying to eat a bit healthier. (Besides, I prefered the old Mc Donalds fries, even though they were less healthy for you. ;-P) So, if I end up getting any of those toys, it will be by pure chance (or by determined decision).

Edit: Of course, these toys need to come out here first...

They look cool to me. If they come over to this side of the pond, I might just get them and at least keep them witout opening, and to those who don't want to buy a Happy Meal, most places will just let you buy the toy without getting the meal.

I like that the stickers on the discs have them in a spinning/rolling pose. These days Tails is all about machines, Knux is for hitting things hard with his fists (makes sense, of course) and Shadow's more about chaos attacks and firearms (though he still does do some spinning). Sonic does a fair bit of the spin in Sonic X, but it's nice to actually see art of him properly curled up in a ball like you could see in the older games if you hit pause at the right time.

These are even more gimmicky than the LCD games. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to check these out if they ever hit stateside.

Besides, ever since McDonald's decided to replace their standard Crispy Chicken with these "Premium Chicken Sandwiches", their chicken sandwiches have tasted rather awful (I personally blame the bread). Sadly, it looks like they're here to stay. Poo.

The two i have so far are the sonic and tails disk flyers. However the others (knuckles and shadow) seem to be available as they are all over ebay and in the displays in all the McD restaurants. Also McD uk still has sonic x on the website and tv ads were run last week end.

Wait.. what? when did they do that? That sandwich was the only reason I ever went to Micky D's. Oh well... you will be missed Crispy chicken... missed severely. All my money shall go to Burger King's Bacon Chedder Tendercrisp Chicken sandwich.

But yeah... about them Sonic toys... they look okay... you could put any character's face, and they'd be just as cool. Heck even with out Sonic's mug on it, they'd be a pretty cool toy, and a potentially potent crime detterant.

Last Wednesday, I managed to nab the old Sonic 3 Happy Meal toys from 1994. Five bucks and still in thier original polybags. Sweet deal.

My personal favourites were the Sonic R toys, they had a wind up Eggman who scootered along in the Egg Mobile. I used to have one, but alas it went missing to the ages.

That's the same series I've got (my fave is Knuckles in his cloud 'car') - managed to get them all plus the rolling Sonic TV/Genesis thing that was part of the McDonalds birthday train series (I still have the bags, but they've been opened.

Due to the fact that McD's here started advertising the LCD games two weeks after beginning to sell them, I never got the full set(s) of those, though. They're not great, but as an opportunistic collector, I'd still have liked to have got them all.

i've got the knuckles one (he's in a cloud and punches the air as he moves, yeah? ) as well from somewhere else. ^^

the maccy dees about here didn't even HAVE all the LCD games, just the shadow and knuckles ones for simply ages.

I was given a Sonic one from a friend of mine at work, and while it looks cool, they don't hold attention for long. I got the wrong idea of it by using it as a gun and attacking workmates. Suffice to say they barely got hit...me on the other hand *ahem*
