So I guess you all know that in the 3D Sonic games usually has boss battles between playable characters. So out of the Adventures, Heroes, and Next Gen, which duel was your favorite?
For me it would be Sonic vs Shadow round 2 and Team Chaotix vs Team Dark.
S vs S was the end all of Adventure 2. The entire fate of the world rested on two hedgehogs. Throw in the fact that you're constantly running and the great music made it more exciting.
Chaotix vs Dark was just the mood set by it. Six people were down each others throat ready to do harm to each other.
Also, what could be done to make them better? Personally, I think the AI should be smarter.
i liked in sonic adventure when knuckles battled sonic, good ole' rivalry!
The second Sonic vs Shadow fight. Occasionally, the final hit proves to be just something you have to rely on luck to land. It's just an insane fight overall... I love it.
Silver vs. Sonic, I just loved flinging things at Sonic not even giving him time to get up. Shadow was harder.
I hated the silver and sonic fight, it was hard!
It wasn't hard if you kept flinging tables and chairs like your life depended on it which it did.
I meant fighting silver as sonic, fighting sonic as silver wasn't too bad
Oh yes SA2 Sonic vs. Shadow(and vice versa) on that forever long straight-a-away. Oh man. I LOVED that one. Also in SA Knux and Sonic was very satisfying. TD and TC in Heroes was great. the character interaction rocked all.
I have multiple favorites.
Perfect Chaos is one -- I think this battle could've been designed slightly better, but the music, the atmosphere, and everything else just made it a rememorable experience to me.
I'd say Sonic vs. Shadow, but amazingly, I hardly remember that battle (I haven't played SA2 in years), so even if I may have loved it, I can't include it. But I will include fighting both forms of that Biolizard character (as Shadow, and as Super Sonic/Shadow).
Not only were they intense to me, but they kept me on the edge of the seat sometimes!
I'll have to say any of Gamma's bosses. Probably a tie between Zeta and Beta MKII. I almost cried at the aftermath of the Beta MKII battle.

The bosses I thought were cool were Knuckles vs. Rouge -
THAT was awesome cuz both of them were pretty much programmed to fight!
Other than that - Sonic vs. Shadow, the final match kicked ASS! The song was awesome and the idea of it, mixing fighting with running...wow, it was so hella awesome!
Except for the fact that the dialog was all screwy due to Sa2's stupid un-fixed issues.
Other than that...hm, I guess that's it ^_^!
Team Sonic vs. Team Rose in SH.
Because it just felt so right to put Amy in her place.

I liked it, but then again, I ALWAYS like the Sonic and Amy scenes. They're just so hilarious.I mean, you just gotta feel sorry for Sonic, not wanting to be anywhere NEAR Amy, and you gotta feel sorry for Amy, too, trapped in her own delusional world.
Ok after playing SatSR and fighting Erazor. I gotta say that fight rocks. I'm trying to think of some old school battles. Sonic and Knux @ Hidden Palace is fun. Oh wait. This is it. My favorite fight of all the 2D Sonics. *fanfare* Knux vs. Mecha Sonic mkII(Super). Oh boy. I love it!
Knuckles vs. Rouge had the best gameplay because of the huge variety of moves and large arena. The camera could be improved.
Team Chaotix vs. Team Dark let me play as Vector and Espio and beat up Shadow. It could have used a bigger arena and a better AI and camera.
Sonic vs. Shadow worked pretty well but it needed more moves besides light dash.

^I thought the Mecha Sonic and Knuckles fight was both really cool to watch - but hella easy to play since you got rings and all of Mecha's moves were so choreographed and mechanical you know?
Yea it was rather easy. But flippin sweet to watch. I remember wishing I couild jump on the ME and go Super against him as well. That would have owned all. Then Sky Sanctuary blows up and we go into space. And he's throwing energy balls at me and i'm tossing asteroids at me. *wets self* If only...
My top five favorite duels are:
5. Sonic vs. Eggman(S&K Final Boss without emeralds)
I love the music and feeling of it. Sonic fighting Eggman death mech with nothing but his skill and speed above the Earth.
4. Any fight in Sonic Heores, because they are completely random.
3. Sonic vs. Blaze: I like the ending of it where they boyh charge up and ram each other.
2. Sonic vs. Shadow: As reasons said above, it just kicks ass.
1. Sonic vs Metal Sonic(Sonic CD): What better way to decide who's the better Sonic than racing? Awesome.
