Hmm...wait, I thought blaze was dead since Sonic 'o6? O_o

Easiest Explanation.
Spoilers (Select To Read): Sonic 2K6 never actually happened. Basically Elise blows out a flame and the events of the game never happened.

Ah. Amy gets a clue.

By gluing a lace panel onto her boots even though it's painfully obvious from looking that they don't go into the boot and therefore serve no practical purpose?

So in some places "panty shot" = Aww she's so cute. And in others it equals Jack Thompson saying, "That game raped my parents and causes uncontrollable bleeding of the eyes!! It is the downfall of human-kind! Blarg!"

The cultural differences are really amazing, imo.

Blaze's backstory is exctremely messed up. First, she's from another dimension. Then, she's from the future. Then, she's from another dimension again. Also, in SRA she's referred to as "princess", but wasn't she referred to as "Queen" in Rush?

Check IGN for a 12 minute demo of the game. Unfortunatly, there's a guy in the shot the whole time. But you do see how they get around Sonic sinking like a stone in the aquatic levels. (They give him a life vest) Also, we see Vector swimming like a crocdile weaving left to right.

Shiggy, I'm also angry and confused about the way the games deal with Blaze, but fortunately it can be solved as such:

Sonic 2006 didn't happen, by it's own admittion, therefore can be disregarded from canon as none of the events take place anyway, the only part of the game which exists post-game is Silver's character design.

Rush and Rush Adventure have translation error. Queen or Princess is unimportant, as long as she's royalty.

If the main games continue to ignore the handheld ones, though, I will be very annoyed. Shadow messed with Battle. I refuse to let 2006 mess with my precious Rush.

Haha that was great. Is that really going to be the TV commercial though? I don't recall any mentioning of the systems it's for. I might've missed that part I guess.

Yeah, the reviews aren't really surprising seeing that this is 'Wii Sports 2' with cartoon mascots.

While the game was getting average review in the U.S., Sonic and Mario were having fun in the U.K thanks to Sega of Europe. Also it seem Sonic love for human females is still strong even after Elise:] .

Edit- LOL at U.K. Resistance take on the pics.

Ha, those pictures are great. Zero9Teen had me ROTFL. When he was at the title screen, he read the fine print or whatever. Didn't he say..."Developed by Sega with cooperation from Nintendo...awww that means it won't be as good" or something. I think it's safe to say where his loyalties are. 😛 I want this game really bad now. Darn college and expenses.

I bought the game yesterday, but didn't get a chance to try it out tonight. After a solid three hours i am happy to report that the game is ridiculously addicting. It's a ton of fun and way better than i expected. I almost passed on this game and i'm really glad i didn't.
While the gameplay is repetitive in places, it's FUN and so the repitition for me actually encouraged me to keep playing. And while reviews are heavily emphasizing repetiton, there's really a fair amount of diversity, there are even five different strokes to choose from when swimming!
The IGN reviewer mentioned he had noodle arms after racing with Mario, and hat's no hyperbole. After playing the 4x100m swimming relay i took a half-hour break to recuperate. When i first got WiiSports i was amazed at how worked up yu culd get just plaing the game, but this takes the concept one step further; i may be sore in the morning.
The Dream Race is a real kick, and completel different from the other races, so completely different, in fact, that you might forget you're even playing the same game.
I'm really, really please with how this game turned ut. Give it a shot!

Well, I've played enough times to give a good impression.

If you liked Wii sports, and wanted a mini game collection with a little more depth, and of course, are a Sonic and/or Mario fan, then this is a good choice.

The game has well over 20 events including dream events that are like regular video game mini games. It includes single match, in which you can play any unlocked event at a any time. Circuit, which has you doing about four events at a time and lets you build up points to get the gold and unlock new events. Mission mode, which helps you earn medals (sort of like achievements) Gallery, which has you play "java-like" mini games to unlock information on the Olympics and lets you unlock famous Mario and Sonic music. There's enough stuff to find and unlock to keep you going for awhile.

Most games are fun, but some are tougher than others. I have yet to do good at all on high jump, but I love the trampoline. (Eggman's center of gravity helps him on this one) Table tennis is actually superior to Wii Sports tennis. My personal favorites are the Dream events. Ehich tend to feel more like "Mario Party" mini-games. Only without the suckage. In dream race, you run in a Mario-Kart style race avoiding enemies and grabbing power-up blocks that you can use on your opponents. Dream fencing has the same rules as regular fencing, but with super attacks you can build up.

There are 16 characters in all. Split evenly from the Mario and Sonic universes. I'm really happy with the selection SEGA decided to put in. Cutting out Rouge and Silver, and putting in Blaze and Vector makes me very happy. On Mario's side, it's just the usual cast with no rare characters. (Mainly due to a lot of voices being recycled from Mario Kart Double Dash.) Each character has thier own skill level. Mario's all around, Sonic's got the speed, Vector has the power, and Tails has the most skill.

GRAPHICS: The character models are spot on. They have the same kind of lighting on them that Mario does on SMG. The background detail is well done too. With Toads and Flickys cheering you on with flags based on different characters. While not incredibly next gen, it does a very good job. 8.5/10

SOUND: The main background music is serviceable, but far from memorable. It does remind me alot of Double Dash's menu music for some reason. Speaking of Double Dash, most of Mario's team has thier voices taken from that game. On Sonic's team, the voices are all new. Mainly due to SEGA producing the game themselves. Speaking of voices, is it just me or is Knuckles voice the one from Sonic Heroes, and not from Sonic X? 7/10

GAMEPLAY: Due to this game being a min-game collection, the quality of gameplay varies a bit. Game like trampoline are a blast, while the triple jump, may be too hard to pull off. Some games just require a bit more skill than others. Archery is one of my favorites, in that it plays a little like golf. (WHAT?) Y'see, it's all about getting as close as you can to the center, and taking in the wind as a big factor. It's a great game of skill. Dream events are the best. take regular events and add power ups to the mix. Dream Table tennis is a good example. you gain points by lobbing the ball back and fourth. If your opponent misses, your score goes up deping on how many time you went back and fourth. Plus, there are power ups that will make the ball do a super power attack that's very hard to hit.
All games are fun. Some just require a little more skill than others. 8.5/10

OVERALL: While M&S isn't too deep, there is more than enough stuff to unlock to keep you coming back for more. Plus, some games (like dream tennis or trampoline) are fun to play with others over and over. Add in the fact that you can even play as your Mii's and race Mario and Sonic as yourself, and you've got one of the best mini-game collections on the Wii right now. Rivaling Wii Sports. Be prepared though, many of these games require fast arm shaking and will give you quite a workout. (AKA highly recomended for fat gamers.) 8.5/10

Heh. Part of me is glad Rouge is not in this game. Blaze is a good character. And according to everything shigamado says this game is worth buying as far as I'm concerned.

The trampoline is definitely a blast, i'm really excited to unlock the iving dream event which apears to use the same control scheme. I spent a while last night perfecting my high jump, only to find that it's one of the few events that doesn't have online ranking! grumble....
