Kikizo posted an interview with Sonic team members Akinori Nishiyama and Takashi Yuda.

Sonic Golf LOL

From the look of it there might be a Sonic Rush 2.
The interview is incomplete but they will release more of it today.

is here.

Hm. It's interesting to see the support for 2D over 3D in the interview, but I still really want them to get the 3D games right - if they could just master 3D game development, it'd be plain sailing. :/

That aside, I'm still not too interested in Riders even after this interview - something about airboarding seems a bit deja vu to me...

Soooo... Sonic Team has a game in the planning stages BIGGER than the next-gen Sonic title?

Kikizo: So we'll get Eggman-themed levels in outer space and such?

Yuda: Of course.

Hopefully it would be a Death Egg Level :thumbsup . As for that game that bigger than Sonic Next maybe it the Nights sequel we all been waiting for. Damn I hope it is.

Yeah, because we definitely don't have enough of Eggman's space stations floating in the Earth's orbit to play around with.

Yuda: There's actually one theory that Shadow might become more popular than Sonic.
