I was listening some early 90's dance and it made think about playing Sonic R. Certain instruments make me think of Sonic, too.
So any types of songs or music that makes you think of Sonic?
hmmm...<whips out ipod>
wow...not much.
I guess some songs by Moby remind me of Sonic CD.
Uh...the music that comes from Sonic games?
The only music that I've heard that made me think of Sonic, in any way, is smooth jazz.
Somehow, I get the same "feeling" as I got as a child.
Haha, I always thought Friends and Strangers by uhhh...some jazz artist had a Sonicky tune to it...oh and also Jean Luc Ponty...some of his songs sound like they'd fit in a Sonic game.
Dreams Come True. =p
For me, old synthpop groups like Information Society and Human League only call to mind the Sonic Archie comic, among other Sonic things. (I've had dreams where the original Freedom Fighters were in the video of "Fascination" by the Human League in the places of the group's members.) Also, one of the Human League's songs is named "Open Your Heart", released on their 1981 album "Dare". Far before the Sonic Adventure main theme...
Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase" (search for it on YouTube) wouldn't sound out of place in Star Light Zone or any of the mechanical zones, or in Robotropolis.
Anything with cheesy-ass 80s synth in it.
I meant if any song makes you think anything about Sonic.
A lot of stuff from the early 90's makes me think Sonic R.
Some Van Halen songs make think of SA and SA2.
The Outkast song "Church" makes me think of Green Hill Zone.
Get it, now?
Uh, yeah. Everyone in this thread has been getting that since the first post.

BALLIN!
Oh, my bad.
The sheer annoying and brain-sawing song "Banana Phone" reminds me entirely of StH 06.
One song springs to mind - "Pacific State" by 808 State. That song wouldn't be too far out of place in Sonic CD, possibly as an alternate Palmtree Panic or Quartz Quadrant Past theme.
Once I pictured Vector and "Turning Japanese". Then I had to bleach my eyeballs. x_x
I think of Sonic whenever I hear something that's sung by Johnny Gioeli.
The theme of The Price is Right reminds me of Advance 3.
Seriously.
All of a sudden, anything by New Order reminds me of Shadow.
Also, "Pop Musik" by M (one-hit wonder in 1979) reminds me of Robotnik, and more specifically, a fanfic that I might write where he finally took over all of Mobius, and Sonic was trapped. The fact that "Pop Musik" is a quirky proto-New Wave song makes it all the scarier.

O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling...
All that New Wave and pop music from the late 80s to early 90s and other upbeat grooves from that period. SAY-GAH!!!!
Poor psx confused Sonic with Mario =(
Metropolis Zone.
Care to reconsider your verdict?
Metropolis Zone was a series of tubes.
Metropolis Zone was the internet? I thought that was Mad Matrix.
Tubes, pipes.
Pizza, pie.
Soda, pop.
SAME DIFFERENCE.
Hmm...probly some techno music
Anything chees- POWER metal. Like Dragonforce and Firewind. This also includes anything by Iron Maiden from Brave New World onwards
Power metal reminds me more of Castlevania
Especially Symphony X who aren't technically power metal but wheatever.
Sonic music is awesome.
Listening to "Man With the Machine Gun", the Black Mages version, and I can't help but think of Sonic running.
Don't you guys think the music on Sonic CD was pretty tight? I know I do!
Sonic CD probably to me was the best of them all with music.
"Tear Down the Walls" by Axel Rudi Pell reminds me of Sonic...especially since the singer is so familiar...
Did you like the Japanese version, or the American Version, or both Speed Demon?
Ever since I figured out there were two versions, I have to ask them to be more specific. >_<
