Sonic 2 final boss
1. This boss has custom and appropriate music
I guess
2. This vehicle is not OSHA approved
This is like all of them
3. Tickets please!
Um yeah
4. Aerial fight on a rocket flight
It takes place on a rocket
5. Get that ring
Intentional throw off clue! The idea that you can't, no rings 😮
This is like all of them
I know. But if I say what kind of vehicle it would be too obvious. Let me put it this way. By vehicle I mean its passenger accommodations. I also realized that OSHA is WORKPLACE regulation and what I mean is that it is a violation of passenger safety regulations. 😛
Heh here I was trying to avoid making it too obvious. I rewrote it and added another:
1. This boss has custom and appropriate music
2. These passenger accommodations are not safety inspector approved
3. Tickets please!
4. Aerial fight on a rocket flight
5. Get that ring
6. A master of disguise, it is hidden as part of its level
The Sunset Park train boss?
Both of yours are quite close. The first one was a rocket flight with a dangerous passenger arrangement (hands), but doesn't involve tickets, and that boss is disguised, is a type of vehicle that often involves tickets, has a dangerous passenger area, and launches passengers at you, which is not what I meant, but is quite a cool interpretation of the clue, but does not involve a ring.
*shrug*My interpretation of the ring clue was how I kind of noticed that when you drop your rings in that fight, the train is in motion, so you're not gonna get them back very easily. So there you go.
Robotnik from The Showdown (final Sonic Spinball level)?
1. This boss has custom and appropriate music
2. These passenger accommodations are not safety inspector approved
3. Tickets please!
4. Aerial fight on a rocket flight
5. Get that ring
6. A master of disguise, it is hidden as part of its level
7. Doesn't fight Sonic
Knuckles Chaotix, Speed Slider boss.
1. This boss has custom and appropriate music
All bosses in Chaotix have customized tracks.
2. These passenger accommodations are not safety inspector approved
The spinning platforms' undersides are spiked, for your displeasure.
3. Tickets please!
Eggman sits inside the background pillar, viewing you through what looks like the ticket window of a amusement park/movie theatre.
4. Aerial fight on a rocket flight
The cutscene beforehand illustrates this perfectly.
5. Get that ring
The bosses' core Dark Ring is plainly visible, spinning around the pillar (ring-shaped, no less!).
6. A master of disguise, it is hidden as part of its level
It really is just another part of the amusement park stage scheme that is Speed Slider.
7. Doesn't fight Sonic
The straw that jogged the jaded gamer's memory. Made me immediately think of Chaotix, and then suddenly everything made sense.
1. This boss has custom and appropriate music
All bosses in Chaotix have customized tracks.
It's also particularly memorable and appropriate to the boss, like some demented carnival. The circus night Billy Hatcher stage music is a remix of it.
2. These passenger accommodations are not safety inspector approved
The spinning platforms' undersides are spiked, for your displeasure.
Those platforms are the cars of the carousel, going up and down on bars, probably the only Eggman boss that has a passenger setup representation.
3. Tickets please!
Eggman sits inside the background pillar, viewing you through what looks like the ticket window of a amusement park/movie theatre.
This is exactly what I'm getting at. It's also a reference to what Indiana Jones says before tossing the evil guy out the blimp window.
4. Aerial fight on a rocket flight
The cutscene beforehand illustrates this perfectly.
This is exactly what I'm getting at. You have to fight the wind during the fight, which is a potential #8 clue I considered using if it went further.
5. Get that ring
The bosses' core Dark Ring is plainly visible, spinning around the pillar (ring-shaped, no less!).
Plus, the basics of the boss involve the kinds of movements you would make to get a normal ring if it was there, and the whole nature of Eggman's setup is to stop you.
6. A master of disguise, it is hidden as part of its level
It really is just another part of the amusement park stage scheme that is Speed Slider.
In addition to its appropriateness to Speed Slider, it is actually located in the middle of the level, and its in level graphics are the same as the standard Speed Slider buildings. Note that the point of the animation is that the building you run into is a stealth rocket. These clues are so elegant. I am rather proud of them.
7. Doesn't fight Sonic
Made me immediately think of Chaotix, and then suddenly everything made sense.
That does make it too obvious, doesn't it? I considered making a clue that Sonic can't defeat it, but that could have misdirected people towards bosses that specifically involve Sonic with deus ex machina fights, and this would have gone even longer until I made an even more obvious game identifying clue.
Now let's toss this on the grill and see if it cooks:
1) The wind is your enemy.
2) A fight you ultimately win by NOT curling up into a ball.
3) If this boss battle had an anime-esque episode title, it'll be:
"The Tables Have Turned!?! A Battle Of Wills Commences!"
Hmm
Quartz Quadrant Boss (Sonic CD)?
1) The wind is your enemy.
All you're doing is running... altho there may not be any wind hmm >.>
2) A fight you ultimately win by NOT curling up into a ball.
Again, you don't need to as it's just running
3) If this boss battle had an anime-esque episode title, it'll be:
"The Tables Have Turned!?! A Battle Of Wills Commences!"
Hm... good guess. Shame it's not the answer I was looking for.
1) The wind is your enemy.
2) A fight you ultimately win by NOT curling up into a ball.
3) If this boss battle had an anime-esque episode title, it'll be:
"The Tables Have Turned!?! A Battle Of Wills Commences!"
4) The Eggman is watching.
Sonic vs Blaze at the end of Sonic Rush?
Or, rather, Blaze vs Sonic. 'Cause you're against the wind. And Sonic is apparently an airbender in Sonic Rush.
Though, as someone already used the Sonic x Blaze fight, I doubt that's it.
Actually, that was it. Damn it all, if I wasn't in such a hurry that day I wouldn't have missed that it was used already.
Well, my turn's a bust.
Want it, Gyser?
You can take it. You had the better explaination, where as I just went with a gut feeling. =P
uhKAY.
brb w/clues
1) Two on one? That's not fair!
2) Someone's a Monkee's fan.
3) Not since Darth Vader has a lackey to the main villain had such an intimidating voice. </sarcasm>
The Captain Whisker/Johnny fight from Sonic Rush Adventure?
Ayup. "DAVY JONES!"
You have good taste, sir; the music to that was terrific. Anyway, three clues coming at you:
1) Emperor of the Brotherhood
2) Oriental Legend
3) You must be this tall to get hit by the shoop-da-woop.
What was his name, Ixus? I'm guessing it's the last boss of Sonic Chronicles. I haven't played it yet.
Nope, sorry.
Some boss from Sonic Unleashed?
I'm afraid you'll have to be far more specific than that.
Damn, I can't be more specific. I haven't played Unleashed in MONTHS. *leaves the answer for someone else* lol
The Ice dragon from Unleashed, on a raised platform, so you can dodge the shoopityness by being below.
Again try.
Chaotix's final boss.
Ash gets it.
1) Emperor of the Brotherhood - Intended mostly to lead one astray to Ix, as TTG did. In the Fleetway Sonic universe, the giant red Metal Sonic is emperor of the Brotherhood of Metallix. Leave it to a fellow Brit to get that.
2) Oriental Legend - track name for the music of that fight.
3) You must be this tall to get hit by the shoop-da-woop - With the possible exception of Vector, none of the Chaotix need to so much as duck to avoid the massive laser Metallix shoots from his chest; they're simply not tall enough.
Intended mostly to lead one astray to Ix, as TTG did.
YOU WILL RUE THE DAY, TREBEK
Aha, so tis my turn. Let's see then...
1. Him? He can't be the boss!
2. Round and round and round he goes, where he stops, no-one knows!
3. Lightning again?
The first clue doesn't really match (Unless yer' being a one of them there sarcastic types), but 2 and 3 make me say the boss of Crystal Egg Zone from Sonic 2 Master System/Game Gear.
You're warm, but no.
Atomic Egg boss from Triple Trouble?
I believe that's the one with Knuckles as a boss.
Close enough! I'll give you it.
It's the boss from Atomic Destroyer in Triple Trouble:
1. Him? He can't be the boss!
When you get to where the final boss is, Nack is there initially but he then runs away.
2. Round and round and round he goes, where he stops, no-one knows!
In the boss's final stage, he goes zooming round and round the outside of the arena, coming to a halt before...
3. Lightning again?
...completely electrifying the arena. And between times bolts of lightning fly between floor and ceiling randomly. This is the third time an 8-bit final boss has done this, as both Sonic 1 and 2 on the 8 bit consoles did it as well.
On you go, Kayla!
Silly Sega, messing up the Egg pattern.
YAYZ!!! My turn!
1) How dare you attack babies?!
2) Two levels
3) Boss is a mommy?
Ha! This can't be anything other than the boss from Sky High Zone, Sonic 2 on the Master System / Game Gear! ^^
Hated that boss as a kid.
GameGear selections 🙁
Poo. I knew the mommy comment would be to easy.
Silver's turn.
Heehee, I've played all the main 8 bit Sonic games, so all the clues together made it pretty obvious. ;p
Let's see what I can come up with here...
1. In Soviet Russia, boss bounces on you!
2. Your face reminds me of someone.
3. Sonic isn't the only one who can face this boss.
Hmm... sticking with the 8-bit vien, I'm guessing its the boss from Sonic Chaos/Sonic & Tails's Sleeping Egg Zone, the Hopping Egg Vulcan.
1) He bounces aroung all over the place and can jump REALLY high and on top of you
2) Looks like Eggman
3) Hence the Japanese name, Sonic AND Tails can fight it seperately.
Might I add the clues are a little vague. There are tons of bosses that can fit this description, I just went for one of the least obvious.
Vague they may be, but you still got it. XD
On you go :3
Woah! Would you look at that! Talk about being in the zone. Okay, better make this a good one then, and this time it won't be from a Game Gear game XD
1) You might say that this opponent is 'suitable'.
2) Its good to be bad
3) Clench fists tight become more redder
Might be a bit easy, but we'll see.
I'll go out on a limb and say, Diablon, from Shadow the Hedgehog.
Nope, sorry. I wait for a couple more answers before I start adding more clues.
EDIT: O~kay~! That didn't pan out like I thought. Very well, guess I'll add a new clue anyway.
1) You might say that this opponent is 'suitable'.
2) Its good to be bad
3) Clench fists tight become more redder
4) ...And I thought only balloons went up with hot air.
How's that now? No doubt it'll get lost in tomorrow's flood of Project Needlemouse comments, what with "Hedgehog Day" and all, but what can ya do, eh?
Final boss from Sonic 2?
Nope.
Might I suggest you think outside the box for this round.
EDIT: Post 200! EFFIN' YEAH!
