Ooh! Ok, that helps!

4 - Will never appear in any more Sonic games.
5 - Regarded with awe and fear by almost everyone you meet.

When you tell us, I'm gonna be going "DOH!" cuz the answer is on the tip of my tongue....
...
I wanna say Vector sooo badly >_<
Hmm....I went to Sonic HQ's Character Index.
Either you're REALLY good or HQ's list isn't very good...
Or it's a Boss, cross-refrenced as a character, like the Biolizard...
Soo...Biolizard?
uU
RAR!
Gerald Robotnik?
I'll give you both guesses (Vector and Biolizard) and say no, because I'm feeling generous, and you'll all hate me when I tell you the answer. ^_^
9 - Was not playable in HIS appearances.
EDIT: Spiners guess wasn't there when I started posting, but no to you as well. ^^
Aha! I knew it! So it IS a boss!
Mwahaha...
Or...
"2 - Can be the key to help you get where you want to go."
or something that you use to do something....
...
Gah. Cheese.
The President?
that mephiles... mephlessisls...milf...i dunno
*GASP* King Boom Boo?
Nope to all. ^_^
Here's another hint before I dissapear for the weekend.
10 - Has not appeared on either a Sony or Microsoft brand console.
It's an Advance Series character, I just KNOW it.
And since I only played Sonic Advance 1, I can't help =P.
Peeps who played them, you'll be able to find out %_%
1 - Moves in mysterious ways.
2 - Can be the key to help you get where you want to go.
3 - Has appeared in only 2 Sonic games.
4 - Will never appear in any more Sonic games.
5 - Regarded with awe and fear by almost everyone you meet.
6 - Solid as a rock!
7 - Likes the nightlife. Likes to boogie.

Omega
Gamma
Omochao
Egg Golem
Metal Knuckles
Emerl
Gemerl
Yuji Naka
Biolizard
Gerald Robotnik
Cheese
The President
Mephiles
King Boom Boo
And all this put together doesn't help me get an idea of who it might be..
10 - Has not appeared on either a Sony or Microsoft brand console.
8 - First and only appearances were in Sonic Adventure or onwards.
So that leaves... (assuming that the PC does not count as a Microsoft model...)
x1. Sonic Adventure 1 (Chaos, Gamma, Tikal, Big the Cat, Beta, Delta, Epsilon and Zeta) - Closed usless minor boss or enemies.
x2. Sonic Adventure 2 (Omochao, Egg Golem, Biolizard, Gerald Robotnik, The President, King Boom Boo, Big Foot, Flying Dog) -Opened to Enemies
x3. Sonic and the Secret Rings - Close Off
x4. Sonic Advance - (Metal Knuckles) - Close Off

x6. Sonic Advance 3 (Gemerl, Cream, Cheese) Close Off

x8. Sonic Rush (Blaze, Eggman Nega) - Close Off
x9. Sonic Shuffle (Void, Lumina) - Close Off
x10. Sonic Pinball Party (NiGHTS) - Close Off
I don't have a clue what it could be. Dark Chao?
I have a strong feeling it's gonna be something gay like
"One of Eggman's robots that Sonic bounces off to get to another place"
Cuz if it is- you gotta know that this isn't the "Name that Badnick" thread...
Now, now. Badnik's are characters, too. =O
Yeah sure, but there's a whole thread called "Name that Badnik!"
It just doesn't fit, you know?
Quote:

You mean a badnik thats sexually attracted to other badniks of the same gender?? Oh my!
I guess NiGHTS. He's been in SA and Pinball Party, sorta.
xD Yes, the badniks make badnik love to each other- and they're all "its".
Sweet, sweet robot heat x3
No, it's not a generic badnik. I'm not completely stupid, but thanks for your concern.
Alright. I'll narrow it right down here.
11 - Only game appearances have been Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure: DX.
12 - No matter how fast you think Sonic is, this guy is always faster.
Robot yiff?
Btw,Zero?
1 - Moves in mysterious ways.
How the hell he gets to follow Amy around in some places..
2 - Can be the key to help you get where you want to go.
I dunno, he forces you to run forward all the time? 😛
3 - Has appeared in only 2 Sonic games.
Sonic Adventure (DX) and Sonic Advance 2.
4 - Will never appear in any more Sonic games.
I'd think so.
5 - Regarded with awe and fear by almost everyone you meet.
Yeah, kinda fits.
6 - Solid as a rock!
It's a robot, gets hit with a hammer all the time and doesn't get damaged!
7 - Likes the nightlife. Likes to boogie.
Uh.. dunno?
8 - First and only appearances were in Sonic Adventure or onwards.
Yep.
9 - Was not playable in HIS appearances.
Yep.
10 - Has not appeared on either a Sony or Microsoft brand console.
Yep.
Pachamac!
That snake thing in the Mystic Ruins?
the snake isn't a character so i hope it's not that. if that snake counts as a character than every moving platform from the games does.
Oh, two more clues while I was posting. 😛
The killer whale? Oops no, it appears in next-gen as well..
11 - Only game appearances have been Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure: DX.
12 - No matter how fast you think Sonic is, this guy is always faster.
Could it be those Badniks in Twinkle Park that Sonic defeats and steals their go-karts?
...I mean, they "like the nightlife"..."they like to boogie"
And they're always faster than Sonic.
No to all so far, but the Badniks in the go-karts and the Snake platform is thinking along the right track.
13 - It's NOT a generic NPC nor is it a generic badnik. In fact, you never fight this character at all.
14 - It is also NOT a platform or stage obstacle of any kind.
15 - There were tons of rumours surrounding this character around the launch of Sonic Adventure.
Happy hunting. ^_^
The Dragon that was SUPPOSED to be in SA, in "Sky Chase" zone( or whatever it's called), but it was never in it?
lolz, Gyser! It's Reno from Final Fantasy 7!
All the clues give it away! n_N
(Because I sure as hell won't get it! nN)
No to the Dragon, and no to Reno. >>
16 - Was not a beta build character.
17 - He must love masticating. oo
...
....
.....
......chompy.....
...>_>...<_<...
It's gotta be that black ball that tries to eat Mario all the time.
He barks too...like a dog...
What? I seriously think you guys have run out of ideas. oo
I'll give it a couple of more guesses before I give the answer up. ^_^
We HAVE.
You know, your character is just a tad to mysterious...
You even said it yerself when ya started =P
Likes to chew likes to chew....
aight I'll break it up into levels
Emerald Coast-
No chewers here. Xcept for the whale, but you already said that was wrong.
Windy Valley-
Nope. No special badniks here.
Casinopolis-
A Golden statue of Sonic, how's that?
We got Nights, which actually fits a LOT of your guesses
I could go on...but I'm too tired. =_=
Soo many levels, too little time.
There's one of your problems. You're thinking action stages... Ooops! @ giving away another clue
...
....
ohmygod...
OH EFFIN OMG!!
I KNOW IT I KNOW IT!!!
It's that chao you race against in the Chao racing!!
You'll never see him again cuz they don't have chao gardens-
O_O
CHACRON...or at least that's what he's called in Sa2.
I have GOT to be right about this.
It fits everything perfectly...
Lolz. I give up. nN
Wow. I hate to shoot you down, but it's not Charcon. oo
I'll seriously give 4 more guesses, and then I'll give my turn up. ^^
18 - Watches over a treasure.
19 - Bodyguard of the famished emblem.
Now that should make it VERY easy. Unless I just have a twisted way of working clues out. oo
OH FREAKIN' SNAP! oO
I KNOW IT!
It's that Burger Statue thing! =O
DAMN IT GYSER! I HATE YOU! >=O
YESH! YESH! SPINER GETS IT!!!
It was indeed the Bugar Shop Statue guy. ^__^
1 - Moves in mysterious ways.
He's a statue, who apparently moves around Station Square at night. Tell me a moving statue is not mysterious. oo
2 - Can be the key to help you get where you want to go.
In some versions, Amy could vault off the statue to hit the Casinopolis switch and get in.
3 - Has appeared in only 2 Sonic games.
Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure: DX.
4 - Will never appear in any more Sonic games.
Well, he won't. oo
5 - Regarded with awe and fear by almost everyone you meet.
Some of the NPCs around Station Square are surprised that a statue may move around at night.
6 - Solid as a rock!
He's a statue. oo
7 - Likes the nightlife. Likes to boogie.
Well, he supposely only moves around at night.
8 - First and only appearances were in Sonic Adventure or onwards.
True.
9 - Was not playable in HIS appearances.
Also true.
10 - Has not appeared on either a Sony or Microsoft brand console.
True again.
11 - Only game appearances have been Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure: DX.
True once more.
12 - No matter how fast you think Sonic is, this guy is always faster.
You could take the statue to another part of Station Square, run back to where to statue should be, and it will already be back. oo
13 - It's NOT a generic NPC nor is it a generic badnik. In fact, you never fight this character at all.
True.
14 - It is also NOT a platform or stage obstacle of any kind.
True. It's not a platform and it's not a stage obstable. In fact, it's not even in a stage.
15 - There were tons of rumours surrounding this character around the launch of Sonic Adventure.
There were rumours that the staue could be used for more than just the Amy into Casinopolis glitch.
16 - Was not a beta build character.
To make sure people knew it wasn't the Sky Chase Dragon or anything similar.
17 - He must love masticating.
He is the mascot of the bugar shop.
18 - Watches over a treasure.
He looks across at the Gold chao egg.
19 - Bodyguard of the famished emblem.
There's an emblem in the bugar shop.
And before anyone complains, there was and is absolutely no rule forbidding a character as obscure as the Bugar Shop Statue. ^___^
Thank you, and good night.
No way! I WANTED to say that, but I thought the clues didn't fit. oo
counting sonic adventure and DX as two games is lame
just SA2 and SA2: Battle are not two different games...
a few new extras and modes a new game don't make
Not...
Chacron...
...
....
Burger...King...
xO <dies>

Technically, they are different games. They are sold in stores under sperate SKUs. They have their own sales records. They're on different consoles. One uses short fat character models, while the other uses taller, leaner models. Shall I continue?
Just accept it and move on.
n__N
1) Has gone through some developments over the years... Maybe for the better.
2) This character has appeared in at least 4 games.
3) This character's colour isn't unique amongst the other characters.
lolz. Enjoy. nN
EDIT: Made the third clue make a bit more sense, as it was way too vague.
Shadow.
lolz. No.
Because that would be too easy. nN
Big?
1) Has gone through some developments over the years... Maybe for the better.
In his gameplay. From fishing to power character.
2) This character has appeared in at least 4 games.
Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 (cameos), Sonic Heroes and.. uh.. SADX? 😛
3) This character's colour isn't unique amongst the other characters.
Purplish tints have become quite common as of late.
lolz no. nN
Cream the rabbit?
Appears in Most games made after Sonic Advance 2, Amy even says Cream might be "going through some changes" in Sonic Battle, her coloring similar to Vanilla, Tikal, and possibly Charmy is orangey enough?
