Is there an easier way to unlock the Game Gear games? Some of these Emblems are beyond my abilities to get.
Gameshark? =P
Get better at it? >.>;
To give this post some actual substance, you can also unlock them by doing the missions. After a certain amount have been completed, you'll get them.
If you're having trouble with the actual emblems, try doing Rank C and B first. You have unlimited time ('sides Gamma), so don't worry about going slow in order to not get hit if you're trying to get those B emblems. A emblems are the most difficult, but if you're using Sonic, use the Spindash abuse trick to go faster. To perform this, while running press and hold the B button for about a second and Sonic will start revving up. Let go of the button as soon as you see it and repeatedly do this. You'll be able to travel the levels in a much quicker time.
For more guidance and help, try GameFAQ's.
EDIT: video to demonstrate the spindash trick. Note that this trick also works in Sonic Adventure 2.
Wait... you ONLY have to do the Missions to unlock the GameGear games? You don't have to get the Emblems? Nothing I read on GameFAQs mentioned that...
And... I thought you had to do C and B levels before you could do A....
Little bit of a rant here, but I personally hate unlockables. If you're going to include bonus games, fine, but they should be available right off the bat. Making them something you have to unlock is lame. I know, Sega could say the GG games are a "reward" but in that case, they should be a reward for actually beating the game (which is what most players want to do), not doing sidequests.
EDIT: Well, I thought doing the missions would be easier, but after trying that durned "get all the flags on the racecourse" mission, I'm thinking it would be easier to find an actual blue hedgehog that talks than it will be to unlock the Game Gear games the natural way.
DOUBLE EDIT: In other news, I think I might have found a cheap and easy way to beat Casinopolis Level A, but I need to test it.

It's been a while (a few years in fact) since I unlocked some of them so my memory is a little hazy. But I went back to see if I could find my Prima guide from when I bought the game; it says that after either completing 10 missions or emblems, you'll unlock one of the games. It also details where all the mission cards are located. I can scan that if you still need it.

You mean this? =P
Nah, I'm not good enough to manipulate glitches like that.
The shortcut I thought I had found was that I noticed some levels allow you to bring in rings from the Adventure field, but sadly Casinopolis isn't one of those levels, so I guess if I'm going to do Emblems I need to do it the legit way or learn to glitch like a pro.
Or get a Gameshark, but there don't seem to be any on ebay at the moment, and Action Replays are forty dollars. If I'm going to pay that much I might as well just buy the Game Gear games.
Or you could just get Sonic Gems Collection, most of those GG games are on there.
No shame if you do. I bought Sega Mega Drive Collection specifically because I couldn't unlock Ristar in Mega Collection Plus.
For Casinopolis, get on to a pinball board as quickly as possible, and lose on it as quickly as possible. Do two quick sewer runs like this, and you should have all the rings you need with time to spare.

About half of them are just timed demos, expecting you to buy SA:DX to get the full thing. This includes Sonic 1, Drift 1, Labyrinth, MBM, and others that I'd really like the play longer than a minute.
Well, now I feel like an idiot.
Yeah.... honestly, I just beat SADX (by "beat" I mean "did all the storylines") and right now I'm thinking the game is total fitzgibber and its not worth going through the extra hassle of unlocking the GameGear games.
I don't remember any odd demos... I need to check that out.
In the museum? You unlock them?
