go to www.sega.com/home.php look at the bottom of the page, sega has a poll to see who the fans would want to return, there is: Nights, Streets of Rage, Samba de Amigo
Virtua Cop, or Flicky , so far nights is winning by a landslide followed by streets, and in 3rd place is samba di amigo!
night is gonna take it home, so im guessing , we might have a new nights game soon, wa do you think?

i wouldn't mind another game. I started liking it from the stories fans would tell. I never actually played the game myself. Just enhance the graphics and I'll be set.

It just wouldn't meen the same if its on the wii or something.
It's still a little weird seeing any sonic game on a nintendo system.
Thinking about controlling Nights with the wiimote really doesn't sound too fun.
I just don't see why there wasn't already a sequel for the Dreamcast. The dreamcast controller was pretty much the 3d controller, so Sega didn't have to go make some special controller for it.
The last time we saw a poll similar to this...we ended up with Shadow the Hedgehog.

hmm you and i abacchild think alike, i dont own any consoles other than my genny and dreamcast, i bought a cube but i could never bring myself to buy a sega game for it, then last december i took out my dc and played it, i hadent had that much fun in years! so i sold the cube!, as much a i dislike sega being on other consoles, you gotta like it, it makes sega money, then someday theyll have a new console just u wait and see!

1. This is current Sonic Team we are talking about.
2. The head guy that made the game already said that (similar to Ristar) it was perfect as it was and didn't want to remake/ sequelize it.
i watched an e3 interview for sonic next gen and a lady was interviewing two sonicteam employees and one of them worked on nights and said if enough people bugged them they would onsider it, you can probably find the video on you tube.
If anything they should bring back Flicky.
FLICKY DANGIT, one of the few recuring staples and cameos of Sega games until Sonic rolled around.
Ristar is feeling very unloved right now. 
They could of least have our favorite star guy cameo in another game. Forget giving NiGHTS and Ristar their own game, atleast give them more cameos! I mean who wouldn't want Nack/Fang versus Ristar in Riders 2?

Sega reentering the console market is a dream that is far from being grounded in reality. In other words...it ain't gonna happen.
Also, if you were a die-hard Sega fan, you would have attempted to purchase Sega's titles reguardless of what platform they appared--especially if they were good.
Back on topic, Sonic Team needs to stay the hell away from NiGHTS. They have yet to prove that they can make an above average title and NiGHTS doesn't need to be desecrated like the Sonic series.

Didn't Naka run off like a thief in the night stealing the rights with him, or was that an April fools prank based on his leaving and "wanting to make some flying clown game" I know that particular news was April last year, so dunno if it's true or not.
NiGHTS seems like the type of game that'd be on the Wii.
I hope they do make it, because damn what a good game.

I agree about Ristar, but NiGHTS has almost constant cameos in Sonic games (not in S360 or SATSR, though).
NiGHTS was in SA and Pinball Party.

i am a diehard sega fan Ashide Bunni and dont ever tell me im not, i just happen to like sega systems because there durable, the controllers are comfy, they have really cool features, and if they still made consoles id have one today, you see i havent purchased any sega games on differant platforms because im still waiting on segas next system, im quite loyal to the sega hardware, an there is nothing wrong with that.

Well there was a guy a little while back that was pretty bad about loving sega too much, and everyone's glad that he's gone, and we just don't want to see another guy like that. I'm not saying your like him though, so don't worry.
I don't think Nights 2 would be too fun on the wii. The 3d controller was perfect for it, and the wiimote will just change the controll so much that it will just take away the fun. The only way to controll it will be pointing the wiimote like a wand. The 3d controller's analog stick was so great that I don't like the 360 controller as much as I used to.
I just don't see a reason to switch from the origanal 3d controller.

They keep taunting us by putting NiGHTS cameos into their games. Like Phantasy Star and Sonic Adventure.
Normally when topics like this popped up in the past, I would respond by saying how Naka stated multiple times that he never planned on doing a Nights sequel. But this time, he doesn't seem to be in the position to make that decision.
On the other hand, this could just be a poll to throw in an unlockable character. Heck it could even be some random character for Smash Bros. Brawl (though very unlikely).
In my opinion, they should not touch Nights. I would be too affraid of the outcome. But if it was a phenominal game, I would consider buying a 360.
One of the Levels in Secret Rings is called Night Castle or Knight Castle, i forget which. They so could have called it NiGHTS Castle.

Yeah, people tend to be kind of sensitive about watching their beloved childhood franchises getting raped, killed, then raped, raped, and raped some more, like what happened to Sonic.
The problem is the word "beloved" and "franchise".
I doubt ONE game (And a "Christmas Bonus Edition") is gonna become a beloved franchise from a child's youth.
Hate to break it to you, but NiGHTS was what could be desribed as an 'awakening' for many people. The ideas and themes presented in the game had a serious effect on many people.
Seriously. Check some fan-sites. NiGHTS is huge, and means as much to a large portion of people as Sonic or Mario does to others.
Yeah, I'm not getting you Elias seeing that NiGHTS is already a beloved game to many people who've played it in the Saturn era. Some would say that it was Sonic Team's finest game even moreso than Burning Rangers, Sonic Adventure, and PSO.

It's only one game - nothing built around it, no string of great games, no series at all. Without that, isn't it safe to assume that the game has become romanticized?
I'm a fan of NiGHTS purely through the six-issue comic series - I've never played the game or anything; unless you count the GBA minigame; and I'm still quite excited for whatever the news is they're about to release. Obviously I don't like NiGHTS as much as Sonic, but I do reckon Sonic Team made their way into something great with it.

Doubtful. Pretty much all Saturn emulators suck, and the one's that half don't require quite a potent computer to run. NiGHTS' fanbase has grown quite large recently, especially due to the boom of the internet, and all of NiGHTS fans from the Saturn days claiming it as the end all, be all of gaming, which in turn, piques the interest of gamers who haven't played it.
As rude as this may sound, you're flat out wrong. Surely the recent poll on SEGAs website helps you realise this?
If Naka did take the rights with him, then maybe thats why we havn't seen any cameos in Secret Rings, or STH360/PS3.
Now on www.n-sider.com they are reporting that SPOnG has reported that a new Nights is indeed being made.

I believed all of what everyone said, then I finally bought a saturn and nights,it's as awesome as everyone has stated, and I would really love a sequel to it. Just not on the wii, because that meens I have would to buy one!
