Huh??? Man, that PS2 just refuses to die. That cool because I never got all the endings since my Saturn die before I could finish it. Does the article says if includes Christmas Nights too?
Good going removing that backwards compatibility from all new European PS3's Sony.
*sarcasm meter explodes*
Oh man. We can get crappy Wii ports of every other PS2 game, I really hope we get one of this game too.
Thats really annoying. I've got Nights and Xmas Nights. The hard way. From the ebays. For shame Sega. >=O
You can't really tell either way from the scans but are those shots from the Saturn version or the PS2 version?

If Sega was smart then they would also port this to PSN and XBLA.

If this is part of the Sega Ages 2500 series, then don't count on it.
I'll get excited about this when a port comes to the US.
Thanks.
I'd be stoked if it weren't most likely Japan-only. XD
Famitsu has screenshots of the game. The graphic update look amazing. Wanna bet that "??????" in Mode Select is Christmas Nights. As for Sega Saturn Dream is probably the Nights game with the original graphics.
WANT. So much.

WANT. So much.
The fanboy in me also wants it, but unless there is something super awesomely exclusive (besides polished graphics), I'll just dust off my Saturn to reacquaint myself with everyone's favorite purple jester.

There are currently no plans for the PS2 version to be released outside of Japan, and no plans for a Wii version either. It is being released in Japan, due to the high demand for the game. So there are no plans for a worldwide release... so far

Damn you,Iizuka. The West has been demanding this game too.

Something that is said so often, its almost a catchphrase.
Incidentally, why doesn't Sega want easy money? =(
Because Sega HATES money. It is the only explanation.
I think Japan just has a larger fanbase for this game than the US, and I guess larger than the UK as well. As many gamers as I hang out with, few of them have even heard of NiD. I even had to explain to my manager at GameStop what Journey of Dreams was a sequel to.
Go figure.
I will gladly import if Santa supplies me with enough money to do so.
Sega's too busy reviving Sonic, to port it over here. *shot*
I really should acquire this game to see what all the bugaboo is about...me thinks my plans of buying a Japanese PS2 to play some of those Japanese games needs to be put into effect.
Rumor: Look like NiGHTS Into Dreams will be coming Gametap in 2008. Wonder which version,Saturn or PS2, will be?
most likely, the saturn version.
I apologise for the bump if noone is interested in this, but I got the 'Perfect Album' OST and the 'Nightopia Dream Pack' last week and took some pics for those who were curious about them. I got the Dream Pack mainly for the book, because I have the Saturn version of the game already - and no PS2 (yet - I've decided to buy a chipped one because I have some similar japanese game packs that I also bought for the bonus crap). Anyway, on to the pics (warning, may be tough going for dial-up users)...
The box and the game case
The story book cover
The art is sketchy looking
Reala - best picture of him in the book. Looks kinda weird on the other pages (strange face).
NiGHTS and Reala
Paralooping minion Nightmaren
Nicest image in the book
Wizeman
NiGHTS and Elliot
Dunno if this is so interesting, but here's some shots of the Perfect Album.
Same as the original Saturn game case, and the 1995 OST
Inside - Disc 1
Discs 2 & 3 - Third disc has Christmas NiGHTS tracks
Back of case and booklet
The stage BGMs are 'complete versions' - they are composed of the standard version of the track, and three alt versions (for those who don't know, in the game the music changes depending on how the A-Life are feeling), referred to as the 'Sweet', 'Bitter' and 'Spicy' versions in the CD booklet.
I will take pics of the Journey of Dreams OST too if anyone wants them (let me know).
Is this game still set to come out on the PS2? Haven't heard of any news about it.
Yes, it is @ UDC... but it's only coming out in Japan
Actually it is out and imporable through Play Asia

Man, why the PS2? If it'd been multiplatform I'd want this.
The X-Box's system generation (except for the Playstation 2) have nothing new for them (they're probably obsolete).
That storybook art reminds me of the cutscenes in Christmas NiGHTS - I wouldn't mind hunting down a scan of it sometime. Must go looking...
perfect! I don't own a Wii.....or is the Wii version like....better ? >>
